Cyclo olefin polymer and copolymer medical devices
An illuminated medical system comprises a medical instrument and a light transmitting waveguide. The waveguide projects lights from a distal portion of the waveguide toward a target area. The waveguide is formed primarily of a cyclic olefin copolymer or a cyclic olefin polymer.
OBJECTIVE OPTICAL SYSTEM FOR ENDOSCOPE
An objective optical system for endoscope consists of a front group having a negative refractive power, an aperture stop, and a rear group having a positive refractive power. The front group consists of a first lens having a negative refractive power and a second lens having a positive refractive power. The rear group consists of a third lens having a positive refractive power, a cemented lens of a fourth lens having a positive refractive power and a fifth lens having a negative refractive power, and a sixth lens having a positive refractive power. A shape of the second lens is a meniscus shape having a convex surface directed toward an image side. The sixth lens is cemented to a plane parallel plate, and the following conditional expressions (1) and (2) are satisfied:
1.0<f3/d6<2.8 (1)
1.7<|f1/f1<10 (2).
ILLUMINATED MEDICAL DEVICES
A surgical retractor comprising a handle and a blade extending at an angle from the handle; an illumination assembly having a plurality of direct light sources provided on the blade, at least one of the light sources being angled differently relative to the blade than another one of the light sources; and a cover configured to enclose the illumination assembly, wherein the cover comprises a plurality of openings, each opening corresponding in position to a respective light source of the illumination assembly when the cover is attached to the blade.
Pericardial access catheters and methods for use
Apparatus and methods are provided for accessing a region within a patient's body and performing a procedure therein that includes a catheter including a tubular member comprising a proximal end, a distal end sized for introduction into a patient's body, an imaging assembly on the distal end, and a substantially transparent expandable member attached to the tubular member distal end such the imaging assembly is disposed within an interior of the expandable member, the imaging assembly imaging through a surface of the expandable member. The tubular member includes a drainage lumen communicating one or more drainage ports on the tubular member distal end proximal to the balloon for aspirating fluid from the patient's body. The catheter may be used to access a pericardial space and an ablation probe may be introduced through the catheter to treat heart tissue while fluid is infused and/or aspirated via the drainage ports.
Multifunctional visual oral cleaning instrument
The present disclosure relates to a multifunctional visual oral cleaning instrument that includes multiple functions of: a visual dental floss, and/or visual oral forceps, and/or a visual oral irrigator, and/or a visual toothbrush, and/or a detachable visual interdental brush. The dental floss, and/or oral forceps, and/or oral irrigator, and/or toothbrush, and/or interdental brush are/is connected with an oral viewer through a connecting mechanism. In one aspect, a visual oral irrigator includes an oral irrigator, an oral viewer, and a connecting mechanism. The oral irrigator is mounted on the oral viewer through the connecting mechanism. The oral viewer further includes a housing, a power supply system, a lighting system, a viewing system, a circuit system, and a switch.
ENDOSCOPY DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
An endoscopy system that includes a computer system with a high definition display monitor and a handheld portion. The handheld portion includes a re-usable handle portion and a single use portion that is configured to be disposed of following a single use. The single-use portion includes an elongated cannula with an imaging module and illumination modules at its distal tip. The handheld portion includes multiple sensors that can detect and measure rotation of the cannula relative to the handle portion, and rotation of the entire handheld portion. The sensor data is used to correctly orient and display images captured by the imaging module onto the high definition display monitor.
ENDOSCOPY SYSTEM WITH OFF-CENTER DIRECTION OF VIEW
An endoscopy system that includes a computer system with a high definition display monitor and a handheld portion. The handheld portion includes a re-usable handle portion and a single use portion that is configured to be disposed of following a single use. The single-use portion includes a substantially straight elongated cannula with an imaging module and illumination modules at its distal tip. The imaging module is mounted such that its direction of view (DOV) is at an oblique angle from the main longitudinal axis of the cannula.
MULTI CAMERA ENDOSCOPE ASSEMBLY HAVING MULTIPLE WORKING CHANNELS
There is provided herein an endoscope assembly, the assembly comprising at least one front-pointing camera and at least one front illuminator associated therewith, at least one side-pointing camera and at least one of side illuminator associated therewith, a first front working channel configured for insertion of a medical tool and a second front working channel configured for insertion of a medical tool.
ENDOSCOPE CAP, ELEVATOR, ENDOSCOPE, METHOD OF DETACHING ENDOSCOPE CAP, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ENDOSCOPE CAP
An example endoscope cap, attachable to and detachable from an endoscope including a lever pivotally provided at a distal end of an insertion part of the endoscope, includes: a bottomed cylindrical cover attachable to and detachable from the distal end; a pedestal including a foundation and two walls disposed within the cover; and an elevator including a plate-like flange disposed between the two walls, an elevator shaft protruding from a first surface of the flange and inserted into an elevator attachment hole in one of the walls, an elevating part extending from the flange in a direction away from the elevator shaft, and a lever connection part disposed on a proximal side of the elevating part and engageable with the lever, the elevator being pivotable around the elevator shaft with respect to the pedestal.
