DISPENSING DEVICE
A dispensing device for dispensing anti-fog solution to a surface of medical device, the dispensing device comprising a container portion for storing the anti-fog solution to be dispensed; an applicator portion comprising a backing and an applicator attached to the backing and defining a port within the backing for fluid connection between the container portion and the applicator; a seal which is arranged to be selectively modulated from a closed configuration in which the anti-fog solution is maintained in the container portion, and an open configuration in which the anti-fog solution can flow through the port into the applicator portion; and a fluid flow modulator for controlling the flow of the anti-fog solution from the container portion to the applicator portion.
Devices, systems and methods for cleaning of elongated instrument surface
Devices, systems and methods for cleaning a surface of as elongated instrument held within a cavity. In particular embodiments of the device, a longitudinal wire member extends along an elongated instrument (e.g. a laparoscope) and a rotatable transverse member removes matter from a surface of the instrument (e.g. a lens).
IMAGE CAPTURE DEVICE WITH REDUCED FOGGING
An image capturing device comprises a first elongated body portion formed of a first material and a second elongated body portion coupled to a proximal end of the first body portion. The second body portion is formed of a second material having a greater heat conductivity than the first material. The device further comprises an imaging window coupled to a distal end of the first body portion, a first housing within the first body portion, an image sensor mounted to the first housing, and an image processor mounted to the first housing and coupled to receive electrical signals from the image sensor. The device further comprises a second housing within the first body portion. The second housing is coupled to the first housing and to the window such that heat generated by the image sensor and image processor is transmitted through the second housing to the window.
Scope cleaning device configured to be removeably connected to a surgical tool
A cleaning device for a surgical tool includes a housing having at least one opening for accessing an interior of the housing; a sponge and a heater assembly positioned in the interior of the housing; and a connector. The connector includes a first arm and a second arm extending from an outer surface of the housing. An inner surface of the first arm and an inner surface of the second arm define at least a first recess sized to receive a sidewall of a first tubular body having a first diameter, and a second recess sized to receive a sidewall of a second tubular body having a second diameter, different than the first diameter. The connector is configured to removably attach the housing to the sidewall of the first tubular body or to the sidewall of the second tubular body to supporting the housing relative to the tubular body.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLEANING OF ELONGATED INSTRUMENT SURFACE
Devices, systems and methods for cleaning a surface of as elongated instrument held within a cavity. In particular embodiments of the device, a longitudinal wire member extends along an elongated instrument (e.g. a laparoscope) and a rotatable transverse member removes matter from a surface of the instrument (e.g. a lens).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IN VIVO CLEANING OF AN ENDOSCOPE OPTICAL LENS
A surgical device comprising a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a spring extending from the distal end of the shaft and curving away from a longitudinal axis of the shaft, the spring having a predetermined width and a thickness substantially smaller than the predetermined width to provide preferential bending in a direction of the curvature of the spring, and a tip extending from a distal end of the spring, said tip including an attachment surface for attaching an absorbent material thereto.
ENDOSCOPE, METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ENDOSCOPE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope according to the technology, especially a mediastinoscope, comprises an elongated shaft and a head piece situated at a proximal end section of the shaft, wherein a heat source is arranged in the head piece, wherein at least one heat pipe extends inside the shaft, wherein a proximal end section of the at least one heat pipe is thermally coupled to the heat source and wherein the endoscope comprises an optical system which is closed by a cover glass arranged in a distal end section of the shaft. The heat source is a light source for generating an illumination radiation. The at least one heat pipe extends in the distal direction as far as the distal end section of the shaft, and at least one distal end section of the heat pipe is thermally coupled to the distal end section of the shaft. The technology also relates to a method for operating an endoscope and a method for producing an endoscope.
Endoscope device using an alternating current voltage
An endoscope device includes: an endoscope configured to retrieve a subject image in a subject from a tip end, and output the subject image from an eyepiece unit; and a camera head including a mounting unit detachably connected to the eyepiece unit, and configured to pick up the subject image. The eyepiece unit and the mounting unit are connected with each other so as to be able to relatively rotate the endoscope and the camera head around an insertion axis. The eyepiece unit includes an endoscope side terminal. The mounting unit includes a head side terminal that feeds power to the endoscope from the camera head. One of the endoscope side terminal and the head side terminal includes at least three terminals disposed on a virtual circle around the insertion axis, and the other includes at least two terminals disposed on the virtual circle.
Laryngoscope handle and retrofittable insufflation module therefor
A laryngoscope handle has a lower grip and an upper functional portion comprising a blade-retention portion formed with a slot extending in a longitudinal direction parallel to a viewing axis, and being configured for slidingly receiving therewithin a laryngoscope blade, and a module-coupling mechanism. An insufflation module may include a body; a jet nozzle extending from the body, the jet nozzle configured and operable to deliver a high velocity stream of gas in a direction substantially along a blade of the laryngoscope such that the gas is deliverable into an intraoral cavity.
MEDICAL INSTRUMENT
A medical instrument of the present invention includes a hydrophilic processed portion on at least a portion of an outer surface of the instrument. The hydrophilic processed portion contains a hydrophilic polymer and an antibacterial agent, and a water contact angle of a surface of the hydrophilic processed portion is equal to or smaller than 30.
