Image processing device, endoscopic surgery system, and image processing method

Provided is an image processing device including: an image processing unit that generates image data for output from a captured image of an inside of a body cavity of a patient photographed by an endoscope. The image processing unit generates the image data in a manner that, when a lens barrel of the endoscope is moved in an optical axis direction of an objective lens during photographing, a display range in the captured image that is a range expressed in a display image displayed on a display device does not change, during the movement and after the movement, from a display range before the movement.

The present invention relates generally to a method and device for creating a camera-visualizing system for both immediately viewing and documenting/storing placement of an endotracheal tube and reviewing position during an operation or otherwise, while the patient is still intubated. This invention's embodiments include an entirely disposable system with light source and camera, placed via a circuit tube which connects to the endotracheal tube and ventilator tubing in a Y-shaped fashion, with optional introduction of suction catheter in the same camera tube or separately. The system's ability to house the camera allow a cleaner and more concise, convenient environment compared to alternatives. Ability to record data, either using camera photographs or videos, as well as transfer this to become part of a temporary or permanent medical record including electronic medical record, is noted.

Apparatus and method for in vivo cleaning of an optical lens of a surgical visualization device

A surgical device comprising a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a spring extending from the distal end of the shaft and curving away from a longitudinal axis of the shaft, the spring having a predetermined width and a thickness substantially smaller than the predetermined width to provide preferential bending in a direction of the curvature of the spring, and a tip extending from a distal end of the spring, said tip including an attachment surface for attaching an absorbent material thereto.

HEATED SURGICAL CANNULA FOR PROVIDING GASES TO A PATIENT

A surgical cannula for providing insufflation gases to a surgical cavity of a patient (for example, the pneumoperitoneum) and allowing insertion of medical instruments into the surgical cavity through the cannula can include a heater within or coupled to the cannula. The heater can heat the gases and/or the instruments to raise the temperature of the gases and/or instruments above a dew point of the gases to prevent fogging. The heater can also help to defog a lens of a medical instrument by heating to clear the lens and improve optical clarity.

DISPOSABLE, BATTERY POWERED SURGICAL SCOPE WARMER
20210321488 · 2021-10-14 · ·

A battery-powered scope warmer includes a heated cavity to receive the distal end of a surgical viewing instrument such as an endoscope or laparoscope. The distal end of the surgical viewing instrument is inserted into the cavity in the housing through one or more flexible flaps in the upper portion of the housing. A heating pad forms a curved tray that receives the distal end of the instrument. The flaps enable the distal end of the surgical viewing instrument to be inserted into, or removed from, the cavity in the housing through one or more slits. A de-fogging sponge in the cavity may be moistened with a de-fogging fluid, and one or more absorbent pads may be disposed on the upper portion of the housing for removing excess fluid from the tip of the surgical viewing instrument. The entire warmer, including the batteries, may be disposable.

Protective sleeve for intraoral scanner

A protective sleeve comprises a housing configured to fit over a portion of an intraoral scanning device and protect the intraoral scanning device from an external environment. The intraoral scanning device comprises a first aperture for transmission of optical signals, the housing defines a second aperture for transmission of the optical signals, and the second aperture is aligned with the first aperture when the housing is fit over the portion. The protective housing comprises one or more supports attached to the housing and a transparent element secured by the one or more supports and aligned with the second aperture. The transparent element is further aligned with a defogging element of the intraoral scanning device when the housing is fit over the portion, and an external surface of the transparent element is to receive heat generated by the defogging element to prevent fogging of the transparent element.

Visual insufflation port

A visual insufflation obturator is provided. The obturator includes seals, valves, screens and/or various other tip features to eliminate the ingress of fluids, matter and/or gas that can disrupt the visual field of the laparoscope disposed within the obturator. The obturator provides additional features such as lens and anti-fog features to further increase visibility of the scope, efficiently insufflate the patient and ultimately provide an access channel into the insufflated abdomen once the visual insufflation obturator is removed.

FLUID FILTRATION, CLEANING, AND DEFOGGING DEVICE

Presented is a method and apparatus for aiding medical procedures. An apparatus includes a housing defining a first opening, a second opening, and a interior, and a first cleaning element maintained within the interior relative to the first opening, the first cleaning element comprising at least one cleaning agent operable to remove extraneous debris from an object. The apparatus further includes a second cleaning element maintained with the interior relative to the second opening, the second cleaning element comprising at least one cleaning material and at least one white reference material, the at least one cleaning material operable to remove debris from an object. The apparatus also includes a conduit defining a passage from a first end of the housing to a second end of the housing.
