Double peroxide treatment of oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst

Oxidative dehydrogenation catalysts comprising MoVNbTeO having improved consistency of composition and a 25% conversion of ethylene at less than 420° C. and a selectivity to ethylene above 95% are prepared by treating the catalyst precursor with H.sub.2O.sub.2 in an amount equivalent to 0.30-2.8 mL H.sub.2O.sub.2 of a 30% solution per gram of catalyst precursor prior to calcining and treating the resulting catalyst with the equivalent amount of peroxide after calcining.

Catalyst for converting alkylaromatic hydrocarbon and preparation method thereof

Disclosed are a bifunctional catalyst and a preparation method therefor, the bifunctional catalyst being suitable to produce high-value aromatic hydrocarbons by subjecting alkylaromatic hydrocarbons to a disproportionation/transalkylation/dealkylation reaction while suppressing aromatic loss or subjecting C8 aromatic hydrocarbons to an isomerization reaction while suppressing xylene loss.

Process and catalyst for low temperature non-oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propylene

A process and catalyst are provided for the non-oxidative dehydrogenation of propane for the production of propylene as petrochemical building blocks. The process provides a direct single-step gas-phase dehydration of propane mixed with nitrogen in the presence and absence of steam/hydrogen over supported bimetallic alumina-silicates zeolites. The catalyst contains no precious metal entities and may contain one metal from group VIB in combination with another metal from group IIIA or IVA supported on FAU, MFI, KFI, BEA type alumina-silicates zeolites. The process provides a propane conversion of 18% to 52% with a propylene yield of 10% to 25%.

LIMITING ACETIC ACID PRODUCTION IN ETHANE ODH PROCESS

The present disclosure relates to limiting the production of acetic acid in an oxidative dehydrogenation process to convert ethane to ethylene. The process of oxidative dehydrogenation includes feeding acetic acid, along with ethane and oxygen into an oxidative dehydrogenation reactor where contact with a catalyst leads to conversion of the ethane into ethylene and acetic acid. By including acetic acid in the feed, the amount of acetic acid produced may be limited and the ratio of ethylene produced to ethane consumed may increase.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY METHODS OF PREPARING UNSATURATED COMPOUNDS

Methods of preparing unsaturated compounds or analogs through dehydrogenation of corresponding saturated compounds and/or hydrogenation of aromatic compounds are disclosed.

Aromatization of light hydrocarbons using metal-modified zeolite catalysts

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to processes for aromatizing hydrocarbons includes contacting the hydrocarbons with a catalyst including at least two different metal modifiers dispersed on surfaces of a hydrogen-form medium-pore zeolite support. Each of the at least two different metal modifiers comprises a metal selected from the group consisting of IUPAC Groups 3-12, and lanthanide metals, and the catalyst is substantially free of gallium. Contacting the hydrocarbons with the catalyst causes a least a portion of the hydrocarbons to undergo a chemical reaction to form aromatic hydrocarbons.
