The suction system in the surgical area is part of the operation room, one of its functions is helps to aid the vision of the surgeon and the surgical team. Currently the operation rooms use a regular suction tubing which is just one female connector to the suction system, a body tube and a female connector to the surgical field.

With the modification and adaptation of the regular suction tubing, we will get the new suction tubing in “Y” two-way for surgery, one unit will do the job of 2 regular suction tubing, which will help in saving time to connect, and avoid changing tubes between instruments during the surgery (uncomfortable), less tangles in the surgical field and it will impact in the environment since we will producing fewer PVC which means less material to be disposed.

Endoscopic surgical systems and methods

An access system is provided for establishing an access path to a surgical site within a patient. The access system comprises an access portal defining a working channel with a central axis, and an adaptor with a mating section mountable to the access portal. The adaptor is selectively rotatable about the central axis. The access portal includes a plurality of openings and the adaptor includes a plurality of projections, each of the projections and openings being arranged so that, in a first orientation, the openings and projections align to allow mounting of the adaptor to the access portal and, in a second orientation, the openings and projections do not align to prevent disassociation between the adaptor and the access portal. The adaptor also includes a holder for a viewing device, the viewing device being movable with the adaptor about the access portal and vertically translatable relative to the access portal.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR JOINT DISTRACTION

A method of treating a patient's joint having opposing joint surfaces includes providing an elongate member having a proximal end, a distal end and an expandable member near the distal end. The expandable member is positioned in the joint between the joint surfaces and expanded so as to separate the joint surfaces away from one another into a distracted position. The joint is manipulated while in the distracted position so that the joint is distracted and in flexion. A diagnostic or therapeutic procedure is then performed on the joint while maintaining the joint in the flexed and distracted position.

Locally invasive surgical apparatus with manipulator for bone fracture treatment

The present invention provides a locally invasive surgical apparatus including a manipulator for scratching the bone at a fracture site, a drive arm on which the manipulator is mounted, and a controller for controlling the manipulator and the drive arm. Therefore, it is possible to carry out minimally invasive surgery during bone fracture surgery, thereby enabling simple and quick bone fracture surgery for a speedy recovery.
