Apparatus for performing an arthroscopic surgical procedure
A cannula assembly can allow an operator in an arthroscopic surgical procedure to control both an arthroscope and a surgical tool with a single hand. In some embodiments, for example, a scope tube may be combined with a tool tube to allow such control. The tool may be manipulated, for example, by causing the tool to rotate, and/or to move forward and backward in relation to the cannula assembly.

Rigid arthroscope system
A reinforced arthroscope comprising external ribs to provide for a number of separate fluid channels, such as inflow, outflow and interstitial tissue drainage, when the arthroscope is slipped into a disposable external sheath. The external sheath includes projections that fit closely on either side of one or more of the external ribs to lock the sheath in place circumferentially relative to the arthroscope. The arthroscope is constructed to be sufficiently rigid so as to penetrate and move within a joint without damaging the rod optics inside. The externality of the arthroscope channels allow for cleaning and sterilizing the scope between uses.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A SURGICAL PUMP USING ENDOSCOPIC VIDEO DATA
According to an aspect, video data taken from an endoscopic imaging device can be used to automatically control a surgical pump for purposes of regulating fluid pressure in an internal area of a patient during an endoscopic procedure. Control of the pump can be based in part on one or more features extracted from video data received from an endoscopic imaging device. The features can be extracted from the video data using a combination of machine learning classifiers and other processes configured to determine the presence of various conditions within the images of the internal area of the patient. Using the one or more extracted features, the system can adjust the inflow and outflow settings of the surgical pump to regulate the fluid pressure of the internal area of the patient commensurate with the needs of the surgery and the patient at any given moment in time during the surgical procedure.

Joint surgical system
A joint surgical system includes, a treatment tool, a high-frequency output section which outputs high-frequency energy to the treatment tool, an ultrasonic output section which outputs ultrasonic energy to the treatment tool, a measurement section which measures a temperature of the liquid, and a control section which controls the high-frequency output section to stop output of the high-frequency energy and controls the ultrasonic output section to continue output of the ultrasonic energy when a measurement temperature measured by the measurement section is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature.
