CASPASE-3-TRIGGERED MOLECULAR SELF-ASSEMBLING PET PROBES AND USES THEREOF
20200085980 · 2020-03-19 ·

Embodiments of the synthesis, radiolabeling and biological applications of an activatable tracer that undergoes intramolecular cyclization and aggregation upon activation by cleavage of a blocking moiety are provided. The probes of the disclosure allow for target-controlled self-assembly of small molecules in living subjects for imaging and drug delivery. The aggregated nanoprobes of the disclosure may be detectable optically, by PET detection, magnetic resonance imaging, and the like depending on the detectable reporter attached to the nanoprobe.

Therapeutic compositions including frataxin, lactoferrin, and mitochondrial energy generating enzymes, and uses thereof
10576124 · 2020-03-03 · ·

Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for the treatment and/or prevention of diseases or conditions comprising administration of a therapeutic biological molecule, and/or naturally or artificially occurring derivatives, analogues, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, alone or in combination with one or more active agents (e.g., an aromatic-cationic peptide). The present technology provides compositions related to aromatic-cationic peptides linked to a therapeutic biological molecule and uses of the same. In some embodiments, the aromatic-cationic peptide comprises 2,6-dimethyl-Tyr-D-Arg-Phe-Lys-NH.sub.2, Phe-D-Arg-Phe-Lys-NH.sub.2, or D-Arg-2,6-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH.sub.2.

Peptide that supresses binding of beta-amyloid and rage

The present invention provides a peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 or the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a use thereof. The present invention can inhibit the entry of beta-amyloid into the brain. In addition, the present invention can be applied more easily with respect to the suppression of the intracerebral action of beta-amyloid and thus is advantageous in having excellent applicability.

PROBIOTIC MOLECULES FOR REDUCING PATHOGEN VIRULENCE

Provided are peptides that are derived from probiotic bacteria that have use for preventing and/or treating non-enteric infections in a subject. The peptides derived from the probiotic bacteria also have use for reducing the virulence of non-enteric infections in a subject. Also provided are compositions of the peptides formulated as or within food products, beverages, nutritional supplements, medicaments and the like.

PEPTIDES AND COMPOSITIONS FOR USE IN COSMETICS

A family of peptides with antioxidant and brightening activities is disclosed as well as cosmetic compositions having the peptides and cosmetic uses and methods of the peptides or cosmetic compositions.

HEMP PEPTIDE COMPOSITIONS FOR NUTRACEUTICAL AND PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS

A skin and/or hair care composition includes a mixture of low-molecular weight hemp (LMWH) peptides, some or all of the peptides are less than about 1 kDa in size. The composition may be a nutraceutical, food product, beverage or topical formulation. The peptides may be obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of hemp proteins. The composition may be used to repair, mitigate or improve skin or hair health or conditions.

Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) inhibitors and use thereof

Peptides, peptidomimetics and small molecules, collectively referred to as decoy peptides, are provided, which interfere with binding to a TIR domain of a toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), and inhibit a TLR4-induced signaling pathway. These decoy peptides may be useful for treating diseases associated with induction of TLR4 signaling pathway such as a disease or disorder secondary to a cardiovascular disease, sepsis or an inflammatory disease.

Peptide compositions for slowing degradation of vitamin mineral supplements, foods, pharmaceutical and cosmetics
11912785 · 2024-02-27 ·

Compositions of foods, vitamin and mineral supplements, topical or oral drugs, and cosmetic products containing a small peptide or peptides for slowing degradation, for example by transition metals. The peptides are di, tri, terra-, and/or penta-peptides containing two or more aspartic acid residues. The degradation of several of the vitamin and other constituents vitamin-mineral supplements can be considerably slowed by composition incorporating such peptides, particularly if soluble (and thus bioavailable) forms of copper and/or iron are also present. The peptides can be hydrolyzed by the normal digestive process thus releasing bound metals. Multiple aspartate peptide(s) compositions with foods, topical or oral drugs, cosmetic, and hair care products can replace synthetic chelating preservative agents. Methods are also described to effectively slow degradation and preserve the above products using multiple aspartate peptides.

Protein glycosylation sites by rapid expression and characterization of N-glycosyltransferases

Disclosed are components, systems, and methods for glycoprotein or recombinant glycoprotein protein synthesis in vitro and in vivo. In particular, the present invention relates to components, systems, and methods for identifying amino acid glycosylation tag motifs for N-glycosyltransferases and the use of the identified amino acid glycosylation tag motifs in methods for preparing glycoproteins and recombinant glycoproteins in vitro and in vivo.
