The present disclosure provides ethanol comprising an inorganic component and/or an organic component. The inorganic component may contain at least one component selected from the group consisting of: silicon having a content of 10 mg/L or more and 100 mg/L or less; chromium having a content of 0.6 mg/L or less; iron having a content of 2.0 mg/L or less; sodium having a content of 150 mg/L or more and 1000 mg/L or less; and potassium having a content of 1.0 mg/L or more and 10 mg/L or less. The organic component may contain at least one component selected from the group consisting of: aliphatic hydrocarbon having a content of 0.16 mg/L or more and 10 mg/L or less; aromatic hydrocarbon having a content of 0.4 mg/L or more and 10 mg/L or less; and dialkyl ether having a content of 0.1 mg/L or more and 100 mg/L or less.

In a method for the manufacture of a hydrocarbon resin made of at least one cyclic diolefin component and at least one ethylenically unsaturated aromatic component having 8 to 13 carbon atoms, the monomer mixture is heated to a polymerisation temperature of at least 180° C. at a heating speed of 0.5 to 10° C./second to obtain a hydrocarbon resin with a reduced amount of by-products, wherein the monomer mixture is essentially liquid in a single phase during the heating to at least 180° C. and during polymerisation, and the subsequently hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin has good compatibility with other components of hot-melt adhesives.

An object of the present invention is to provide a multicomponent copolymer for use for producing a crosslinked rubber composition and a rubber product excellent in fracture performance (strength and elongation) at high temperatures while maintaining high weather resistance. Further, the invention provides a rubber composition containing the multicomponent copolymer, a crosslinked rubber composition obtained by crosslinking the rubber composition, and a rubber product and a tire using the rubber composition or the crosslinked rubber composition. The multicomponent copolymer of the invention contains a conjugated diene unit, a non-conjugated olefin unit and an aromatic vinyl unit, wherein the main chain is formed of an acyclic structure alone, the content of the aromatic vinyl unit is 3 mol % or more of the whole multicomponent copolymer, and the content of the non-conjugated olefin unit is more than 44 mol % and less than 97 mol % of the whole multicomponent copolymer.

A novel soluble polyfunctional vinyl aromatic copolymer capable of yielding a cured product or molded body having improved heat resistance, compatibility, dielectric properties, wet heat reliability and resistance to thermal oxidative degradation. Disclosed herein is a soluble polyfunctional vinyl aromatic copolymer containing structural units derived from a divinyl aromatic compound (a), styrene (b), and a monovinyl aromatic compound (c) other than styrene. The copolymer includes structural units made up of an unsaturated hydrocarbon group represented by Formula (a1) and derived from the divinyl aromatic compound (a); and the copolymer includes, at terminals thereof, predetermined amounts of specific terminal groups having a vinyl group or a vinylene bond derived from monomers (a), (b), and (c). Also disclosed is a method for producing the copolymer.

Polycyclic-olefinic compositions for low-loss films having improved thermal properties
Embodiments in accordance with the present invention encompass compositions containing one or more polycycloolefinic monomers and at least one multifunctional olefinic monomer which when subjected to a suitable temperature undergoes mass polymerization to provide a three-dimensional insulating article which exhibits hitherto unattainable low dielectric constant and low-loss properties, and very high thermal properties. The compositions of this invention may additionally contain one or more organic or inorganic filler materials, which provide improved thermo-mechanical properties in addition to very low dielectric properties. The compositions are stable at room temperature and undergo mass polymerization only when subjected to suitable higher temperatures generally above 100° C. The compositions of this invention are useful in various applications, including as insulating materials in millimeter wave radar antennas, among others.
