Wireless and noninvasive epidermal electronics
Provided are conformable devices to measure subdermal fluid flow and related methods. A soft, stretchable and flexible substrate supports a thermal actuator and various specially positioned temperature sensors. A microprocessor in electronic communication with sensors calculates subdermal fluid flow from the measured upstream and downstream temperatures, as well as various application-dependent parameters. Devices and methods provided herein are particularly useful for measuring cerebral spinal fluid in a ventricular shunt placed for treatment of hydrocephalus.
OXYGEN MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND OXYGEN MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
An oxygen measurement device constituting an oxygen measurement system includes a urethral catheter and an oxygen sensor main body. The urethral catheter has a shaft in which a urethral catheter lumen that enables circulation of urine flowed in via a urethral catheter port from inside a bladder is formed; and has a hub in which a urine lumen that is provided at a proximal end of the shaft and communicates with the urethral catheter lumen is formed. The oxygen sensor main body is provided on the hub in a manner capable of being brought into contact with urine circulating in the urine lumen, and detects oxygen in the urine.
Wearable personal digital device for facilitating mobile device payments and personal use
Provided is a wearable personal digital device for point of healthcare saliva testing. The processor may be operable to receive data from an external device, provide a notification to a user based on the data, receive a user input, and perform a command selected based on the user input. The housing may be adapted to enclose the components of the wearable personal digital device. The band may be adapted to attach to the housing and secure the wearable personal digital device on a user body.
ANALYTE SENSOR
The present invention relates generally to systems and methods for measuring an analyte in a host. More particularly, the present invention relates to systems and methods for transcutaneous measurement of glucose in a host.
Methods and Devices for Delivering and Monitoring of Tobacco, Nicotine, or other Substances
Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing risk evaluation and mitigation strategies for use with modified risk products or other tobacco products, and in particular, associated with nicotine and tobacco products.
Energizable ophthalmic lens with an event-based coloration system
The present invention provides a device for an energizable Ophthalmic Lens with an event coloration mechanism. The event coloration mechanism may color or change color based on some predefined event. For example, a predefined constituent or predefined condition of the tear fluid may be indicative of the predefined event, and the event coloration mechanisms may interact with the tear fluid, accordingly. The event coloration mechanism may provide the energizable functionality of the Ophthalmic Lens in some embodiments. In others, the event coloration mechanism may be passive but may interact and interface with the electrical components of the Ophthalmic Lens, such as, for example, those included within the Media Insert. Event coloration mechanisms may be combined with additional functionalities that may be included in an energizable Ophthalmic Lens.
Home healthcare management system and hardware and software
A business method is described comprising doctorless testing, diagnosis, and treatment of patient diagnosed health maladies. Antithetical to the current regulatory and general public healthcare practices, in the doctorless method the patient has the equivalent of a clinical laboratory and physician's clinic at home. The herein disclosed microscope, blood tests, and physiological monitoring are patient selected, patient interpreted, and acted upon by the patient without physician support. The invention herein disclosed is a multi-element bundled comprehensive solution that lowers yearly primary healthcare costs to that of a cell phone, and will be purchased at retail stores such as Wal-Mart.
INTELLIGENT DENTAL ORNAMENT AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
The invention provides an intelligent dental ornament and a method of using the same, the intelligent dental ornament comprising: a dental ornament body with a cavity, a tester located within the cavity and for detecting a physiological parameter, a battery used by the tester, and a trigger switch for triggering the tester to start test; the dental ornament body is further provided with a through-hole for at least one pipette of the tester stretching out of the dental ornament body, and a sealing cover for sealing the through-hole. When the trigger switch activates the tester, the sealing cover is opened, and the pipette of the tester stretches out of the dental ornament body through the through-hole to obtain the saliva of the subject, and the physiology parameter in the saliva is detected, and the detection result is sent to an external device in communication with the tester. The intelligent dental ornament can intelligently detect the physiology parameters such as the blood glucose or alcohol content without affecting the aesthetics of the dental ornament, and has the advantages of simple operation, reducing pain of the user, being reusable, and reducing cost.
STATE CONTROL APPARATUS, STATE CONTROL METHOD, AND STATE CONTROL SYSTEM
A state control apparatus including: an acquiring unit configured to acquire a state index indicating a state of target feeling based on biological information corresponding to the target feeling which is feeling of a target to be guided, the biological information being detected from a guide target whose state of feeling is to be guided; and a state control unit configured to determine a feeling guiding medium to be used for guiding the state of the target feeling based on the acquired state index and pattern information which is associated with the feeling guiding medium for guiding the state of the target feeling and which indicates a pattern of temporal change of the state index so that the state of the target feeling becomes a predetermined set state, and control the state of the target feeling of the guide target by performing processing relating to the determined feeling guiding medium. The biological information includes information indicating a detection result of an enzyme.
