A bio-based polyol-containing polymer foam material, which includes a bio-based polyol-containing polymer foam present in a bulk concentration of the bio-based polymer foam material of 99% by weight or greater; and a graphite material present in a bulk concentration of the bio-based polyol-containing polymer foam material of 1% by weight or less. The bio-based polyol-containing polymer foam material is especially suitable for automotive components having deadening and vibration management features.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL INCLUDING RIGID FOAM WITH INORGANIC FILLERS
A composite material includes, in an exemplary embodiment a polyurethane foam and a plurality of inorganic particles dispersed therein. The polyurethane foam is formed from a reaction mixture that includes a first polyether polyol having a first molecular weight and a functionality of about 3 or less, a second polyether polyol having a second molecular weight less than the first molecular weight and a functionality of greater than about 3, and at least one isocyanate. The ratio of an amount of the first polyol in the reaction mixture to an amount of the second polyol in the reaction mixture is between about 1:1 to about 5:1.

A polyurethane foam forming composition, processes for making a foam from such compositions, and laminates and composites comprising foams made from such compositions. The polyurethane foams are polyether based foams that are heat bondable, such as by, for example, flame lamination, to a substrate. The foams are formed from a composition comprising a silicone based surfactant. The surfactant comprises alkyl siloxane units and units with pendant acetoxy capped polyether groups.
Composite material including rigid foam with inorganic fillers
A composite material includes, in an exemplary embodiment a polyurethane foam and a plurality of inorganic particles dispersed therein. The polyurethane foam is formed from a reaction mixture that includes a first polyether polyol having a first molecular weight and a functionality of about 3 or less, a second polyether polyol having a second molecular weight less than the first molecular weight and a functionality of greater than about 3, and at least one isocyanate. The ratio of an amount of the first polyol in the reaction mixture to an amount of the second polyol in the reaction mixture is between about 1:1 to about 5:1.

Process for the preparation of lignin based polyurethane products
A process for the production of a lignin based polyurethane products is provided. The process comprises mixing at least one dried lignin and at least one isocyanate to form a lignin-isocyanate mixture, and submitting the lignin-isocyanate mixture to a polymerization reaction. The polymerization reaction may include heating the lignin-isocyanate mixture, adding at least one catalyst to the lignin-isocyanate mixture, or mixing the lignin-isocyanate mixture with a resin comprising at least one polyol, in the presence of at least one catalyst. The lignin based polyurethane products obtained by the process may be rigid foams, flexible foams, rigid boards, rigid blocks, coatings, packagings, adhesives, binders, sealants, elastomers, Thermoplastic Polyurethanes or Reaction Injection Moldings. There is also provided a mixture comprising at least one dried lignin and at least one isocyanate for use in the production of a lignin based polyurethane products.
