Intermediate polyisocyanurate comprising materials
A stable partly cured polyisocyanate composition is disclosed which comprises polyisocyanurate (intermediate polyisocyanurate comprising material) and which is further curable. Furthermore a process for making the intermediate (partly cured) polyisocyanurate comprising material and a process for further curing the partly cured polyisocyanurate composition is disclosed. Also polyisocyanurate comprising materials made or obtainable from partly cured intermediate polyisocyanurate comprising material are disclosed and processes for further curing a partly cured polyisocyanurate comprising composition (intermediate material).
Polymerization catalyst for polythiourethanes, polymerizable liquid composition and process for the production of organic polythiourethane glass with a high refractive index
Polymerizable liquid compositions containing three components (A), (B) and (C) are provided, wherein component (A) contains at least one cycloaliphatic diisocyanate monomer wherein the weight percentage of free isocyanate groups in component (A) ranges from about 20% to about 50% by weight with respect to the total weight of component (A); component (B) contains at least one polythiol having a molecular weight ranging from 50 to 1,200 g/moles and a functionality ranging from 2 to 5, the components (A) and (B) being present in a weight ratio varying from 0.5:1 to 2:1; and component (C) being a defined polymerization catalyst. A process for the production of organic glass using the polymerizable liquid composition is further provided.
Two-component polyurethane composition with delayed crosslinking
The invention relates to a crosslinking two-component polyurethane composition consisting of (i) a constituent A containing polyols and additives, and (ii) a constituent B containing between 100 and 65 wt. % of aromatic polyisocyanates, between 0 and 35 wt. % of aliphatic polyisocyanates, and between 0.05 and 3.0 wt. % of a retarder, and optionally additives, the mixed composition having a viscosity (EN ISO 2555) of between 100 mPas and 3000 mPas at 25 C., and the crosslinked composition having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of higher than 50 C. and a pot life of longer than 60 minutes. The two-component polyurethane composition is suitable as an adhesive and as a matrix substance for composite materials.
STABILIZATION OF POLYURETHANE FOAM POLYOL PREMIXES CONTAINING HALOGENATED OLEFIN BLOWING AGENTS
The invention provides polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams and methods for the preparation thereof. More particularly, the invention relates to polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams having an open-cell, closed-cell or a combination of open and closed cell structure, and methods for their preparation. The foams are produced with a polyol premix composition which comprises a combination of a hydrohaloolefin blowing agent, a polyol and a catalyst which is an adduct of an amine and an organic acid.
Method for preparing polyisocyanate composition
There is provided a method for preparing a polyisocyanate composition capable of improving transparency of a product, by mixing a phenol-based stabilizer in an amount of 1 to 1000 ppmw, based on the total weight of aromatic diisocynate, and then, introducing polyhydric alcohol to conduct a polymerization reaction, thereby inhibiting coloration and whitening due to oxygen or moisture during synthesis and purification processes.
