The polyurethane composition comprises a polyol composition (A) in which polyether polyol (a1) and polymer polyol (a2) are mixed at a predetermined amount, an isocyanate composition (B) obtainable by polymerizing polyether polyol (b2) and an isocyanate composition (b1) that comprises i) methylene diphenyl isocyanate (M-MDI) and ii) polymethylene diphenyl isocyanate (P-MDI). As such, the molded article such as a vehicle seat pad can be manufactured with improved static and dynamic comfort.

The invention relates to polyurethanes obtainable by reaction of (a) polyisocyanates A selected from modified or unmodified 4,4′-methanediphenyl diisocyanate, higher nuclear homologs of 4,4′-methanediphenyl diisocyanate, isocyanated groups containing prepolymers based on 4,4′methandiphenyl diisocyanate, and mixtures thereof, with (b) compounds having at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms, comprising (b1) block copolymers formed from a polybutadienol and a cyclic ester as component B1, and (b2) low molecular weight extenders or crosslinkers each having a molecular weight of 62 to 500 g/mol as component B2.
WATER-BASED POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS AND THEIR PREPARATIONS
A prepolymer comprising an acid group is made by a process comprising the step of contacting: (i) a di-isocyanate, (ii) a polyol containing an acid group, and (iii) a polyol without an acid group, the contacting conducted under reaction conditions and in a solvent consisting essentially of: (A) a first component consisting essentially of at least one glycol ether ketone, and (B) optionally, a second component consisting of at least one aprotic glycol ether. The prepolymer is useful in the preparation of water-based polyurethane dispersions.
Alternative crosslinking mechanisms for polyurethane-based systems
The present invention provides compositions comprising the reaction product of an aliphatic diisocyanate, and a reactive intermediate made from one selected from the group consisting of oxazolidinones, benzoic sulfimides (saccharins), 1H-indole-2,3-diones (isatins), succinamides, N-hydroxysuccinamides, 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehydes (vanillins), α-ketoamides, piperazines, benzofuranones, 3,4-dihydroxycyclobut-3-ene-1,2-diones (squaric acids), squaric acid esters, α-ketoamides, anilines, and α-ketoamide, phenols. The aliphatic diisocyanate comprises one selected from the group consisting of isocyanurates, biurets, iminooxadiazine diones, urethanes, uretdiones, carbodiimides, and allophanates. The resulting compositions may be useful in producing coatings, adhesives, sealants, castings, composites and films having durability, color stability, high gloss, and chemical resistance properties similar to those made from polyurethane.

The present invention is to provide a urethane composition containing a main agent (i) including a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group obtained by allowing a polyol (A) and a polyisocyanate (B) to react with each other, and a curing agent (ii), in which the polyol (A) includes a polyether polyol (a1) obtained by polymerizing an aromatic compound (a1-1) having two or more active hydrogen atom-containing groups and an alkylene oxide (a1-2), and a polishing material obtained by curing the urethane composition with heat, followed by slicing.
