The present disclosure provides a photopolymerizable composition. The photopolymerizable composition includes at least one urethane component, at least one monofunctional reactive diluent, an initiator, and optionally an inhibitor. The present disclosure also provides an article including the reaction product of the photopolymerizable composition. Further, the present disclosure provides a method of making an article. The method includes (i) providing a photopolymerizable composition and (ii) selectively curing the photopolymerizable composition to form an article. The method optionally also includes (iii) curing unpolymerized urethane component and/or reactive diluent remaining after step (ii). Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process, the article based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article.
THERMOSETTING POWDER COATING COMPOSITIONS HAVING LOWER CHALK-FREE TEMPERATURE
The invention relates to thermosetting powder coating compositions as these are disclosed herein. The compositions comprise A) unsaturated resin(s) comprising ethylenic unsaturations selected from the group consisting of polyester resins, polyurethanes, epoxy resins, polyamides, polyesteramides, polycarbonates, polyureas and mixtures thereof; and B) curing agent(s) selected from the group consisting of certain vinyl urethanes, vinyl functionalized urethane resins and mixtures thereof; and C) thermal radical initiator(s) selected from the group consisting of organic peroxides, azo compounds, and mixtures thereof; and D) co-initiator(s) selected from the group consisting of certain onium compounds, sulpho-compounds, and mixtures thereof; and E) inhibitor(s) selected from the group consisting of phenolic compounds, stable radicals, catechols, phenothiazines, hydroquinones, benzoquinones and mixtures thereof. The invention further relates to a process for making said thermosetting powder coating compositions and processes for coating an article with said thermosetting powder coating compositions. The invention further relates to cured thermosetting powder coating compositions obtained by curing of the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention. The invention further relates to an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition as well as to an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition. The invention further relates to the use of said thermosetting powder coating compositions, to the use of an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions and to the use of an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions. Allophanate carbamate azido-alkyne click compositions
An alternative polyurethane composition is provided comprising a reaction product of an azidated polyol and a poly(alkynyl carbamate) allophanate prepolymer, wherein the poly(alkynyl carbamate) allophanate prepolymer comprises a reaction product of a first alkynol and a poly(alkynyl carbamate) prepolymer, in the presence of a metallo-organic compound of the formula: M(acac).sub.n, wherein, M=a metal, acac=an acetylacetonate residue, and n=2 or 3, wherein the poly(alkynyl carbamate) prepolymer comprises a reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a stoichiometric equivalent of a second alkynol, and wherein the polyisocyanate comprises isocyanate groups and uretdione groups. The inventive alternative polyurethane compositions may be used to provide solventborne or waterborne coatings, adhesives, sealants, films, elastomers, castings, foams, and composites.
