HIGH DENSITY POLYESTER PRODUCT, COMPOSITION AND USE
The present invention relates to a polyester product having a relatively high atypical density of greater than 1 g/cm.sup.3 at 25° C., the polyester product comprises the reaction product of one or more C2 to C12 polybasic acid and one or more polyol. The invention also relates to methods of making the polyester product, compositions containing or comprising the polyester product and the use of such compositions. More especially, the polyester containing compositions may advantageously be utilised in aqueous environment applications, or other applications, where environmental containment is an important consideration.

At least a portion of the recycle content value in the feedstock or in an allotment obtained by an alkylene diol or alkylene diol polyester manufacturer has its origin in recycled waste and/or pyrolysis of recycled waste and/or in thermal steam cracking of recycle content pyoil.

This disclosure pertains to novel polyvinyl chloride compositions containing polyvinyl chloride resins and copolyesters. More particularly, the present disclosure pertains to polyvinyl chloride compositions including high glass transition temperature (Tg) copolyesters to increase the Tg and the heat distortion temperature under load (HDTUL) of the polyvinyl chloride compositions.

Provided herein are methods of producing polymers from furan and optionally diol compounds, using an organocatalyst. A polymer composition comprising a polymer prepared by the method is contemplated. Provided herein are also polymer compositions, such as poly(alkylene-2,5-furandicarboxylate). In some embodiments, polymer compositions have any one of the characteristics discussed herein, or any combinations thereof.
POLYMERS AND METHODS OF PRODUCING THEREOF
Provided herein are methods of producing polymers from furan and optionally diol compounds, using an organocatalyst. A polymer composition comprising a polymer prepared by the method is contemplated. Provided herein are also polymer compositions, such as poly(alkylene-2,5-furandicarboxylate). In some embodiments, polymer compositions have any one of the characteristics discussed herein, or any combinations thereof.
Water-dispersible and biodegradable films for the packaging of liquids and moisture-sensitive materials
The presently disclosed subject matter is generally directed to a packaging film constructed from water-dispersible and/or biodegradable compositions. Particularly, the disclosed film comprises a first layer constructed from one or more water-dispersible materials, such as water-dispersible paper. The film further comprises a second layer constructed from one or more biodegradable materials, such as poly(hydroxyalkanoate). The first and second layers can be constructed to form a packaging material used to enclose a wide variety of products, including liquids and moisture-sensitive solids. Advantageously, the disclosed film (and associated packaging materials) are dissolvable in water and/or biodegrade when exposed to landfill conditions and/or water.
COMPOSTABLE MULTI-COMPONENT CONSTRUCTIONS
The present invention is a multi-component fiber includes a core and a sheathing surrounding the core. The core includes a first aliphatic polyester or copolymer of an aliphatic polyester. The sheathing includes a second aliphatic polyester or copolymer of an aliphatic polyester or a polyamide, and a hydrophobic agent. The second aliphatic polyester or copolymer of an aliphatic polyester or a polyamide has a melt flow index of between about 0.5 and about 19.5 g/10 min using a 2.16 Kg weight at 190° C.
