Functionalized polyester polymers and film articles
Polyester polymers are described comprising polymerized units comprising a hydroxy functional aromatic group wherein the hydroxy group has been functionalized with an adhesion promoting group. In some embodiments, the polyester polymer comprises polymerized units have the general structure (A) wherein L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 are independently divalent linking groups comprising an ester group; and R.sub.A is an adhesion promoting group bonded to the oxygen atom by means of an ionic or covalent bond. In other embodiments, film articles, laminates are described and methods of making functionalized polyester polymers are described. ##STR00001##

An object of the present invention is to provide an aqueous dispersion composition containing polyester resin having high storage stability, film-forming properties, tackiness, adhesiveness, and water resistance. An aqueous dispersion composition containing polyester resin, comprises, a polyester resin (A), a coalescing aid (B), and an aqueous medium (C), wherein the coalescing aid (B) has a Hansen solubility parameter with a dispersion term (d) of 15.4 MPa.sup.0.5 or more and less than 18.0 MPa.sup.0.5, a polarization term (p) of 4.1 MPa.sup.0.5 or more and less than 9.1 MPa.sup.0.5, and a hydrogen bond term (h) of 7.0 MPa.sup.0.5 or more and less than 12.3 MPa.sup.0.5.
Multiple stage curable polymer with controlled transitions
The invention provides a polymer system, including a first composition and a second composition. The first composition is different from the second composition. The first composition includes a first gelator, the first gelator including a plurality of acylhydrazine moieties. The second composition includes a second gelator, the second gelator including a plurality of formyl moieties. At least one of the first composition and the second composition includes a prepolymer. The invention further provides a method of using the polymer system to form a polymeric material via multiple stages to more effectively control the rheology of the components over a variety of timescales.
