POLYMER COMPOSITION AND MOLDED BODY
The present invention is a polymer composition comprising a hydrogenated crystalline cycloolefin ring-opening polymer (A) that comprises a repeating unit derived from a polycyclic norbornene-based monomer that includes three or more rings, 5 to 100 parts by weight of a glass filler (B) based on 100 parts by weight of the hydrogenated crystalline cycloolefin ring-opening polymer (A), and 5 to 20 parts of a metal oxide (C) based on 100 parts by weight of the hydrogenated crystalline cycloolefin ring-opening polymer (A), and a formed article.
The polymer composition according to the present invention exhibits excellent electrical properties (low dielectric loss tangent), excellent adhesion to plating, and excellent reflow heat resistance, and can maintain strength even when subjected to high-temperature/high-humidity conditions.
THERMOSETTING RESIN COMPOSITION AND PREPREG AND LAMINATED BOARD PREPARED THEREFROM
A thermosetting resin composition and a prepreg and a laminated board prepared therefrom. The thermosetting resin composition contains the following components in parts by weight: 50-150 parts of a cyanate; 30-100 parts of an epoxy resin; 5-70 parts of styrene-maleic anhydride; 20-100 parts of a polyphenyl ether; 30-100 parts of a halogen-free flame retardant; 0.05-5 parts of a curing accelerator; and 50-200 parts of a filler. The prepreg and laminated board prepared from the thermosetting resin composition have comprehensive performances such as a low dielectric constant, a low dielectric loss, an excellent flame retardance, heat resistance and moisture resistance, etc., and are suitable for use in a halogen-free high-frequency multilayer circuit board.
Modified resins and uses thereof
Modified thermoplastic hydrocarbon thermoplastic resins are provided, as well as methods of their manufacture and uses thereof in rubber compositions. The modified thermoplastic resins are modified by decreasing the relative quantity of the dimer, trimer, tetramer, and pentamer oligomers as compared to the corresponding unmodified thermoplastic resin polymers, resulting in a product that exhibits a greater shift in the glass transition temperature of the elastomer(s) used in tire formulations. This translates to better viscoelastic predictors of tire tread performance, such as wet grip and rolling resistance. The modified thermoplastic resins impart remarkable properties on various rubber compositions, such as tires, belts, hoses, brakes, and the like. Automobile tires incorporating the modified thermoplastic resins are shown to possess excellent results in balancing the properties of rolling resistance, tire wear, snow performance, and wet braking performance.
CYCLIC OLEFIN-BASED RESIN COMPOSITION, MOLDED PRODUCT, AND OPTICAL COMPONENT
Provided is a cyclic olefin-based resin composition including a cyclic olefin-based polymer (A), and a hindered amine compound (Y) that contains a piperidyl group represented by General Formula (1) and a carboxylic acid amide group represented by General Formula (2) within the same molecule.

HIGH TEMPERATURE BULK METATHESIS POLYMERIZATION
A method of carrying out a metathesis reaction includes the combination of at least one alkene or non conjugated diene with a Ruthenium-based catalyst with an cyclic(alkyl)(amino)carbene ligand to form a reaction mixture, heating the reaction mixture to a temperature of 100° C. or greater in the absence of a solvent in bulk conditions, and mechanically stirring the reaction mixture. The reaction can be an ADMET, ROMP, a metathesis ring-closure or an olefin exchange reaction.

Disclosed herein, inter alia, are oxidized polyethylene compounds and compositions and methods of making the same.
Preparation of metallocene containing cationic polymers for anion exchange applications
Chemically inert, mechanically tough, cationic metallo-polyelectrolytes designed as durable anion-exchange membranes (AEMs) via ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of cobaltocenium-containing cyclooctene with triazole as the only linker group, followed by backbone hydrogenation to provide a new class of AEMs with a polyethylene-like framework and alkaline-stable cobaltocenium cation for ion transport, which exhibit excellent thermal, chemical and mechanical stability, as well as high ion conductivity.
HYDROGENATED RING-OPENED POLYMER, RESIN COMPOSITION, AND SHAPED PRODUCT
Provided is a hydrogenated ring-opened polymer having excellent ductility. The hydrogenated ring-opened polymer includes 90 mass % or more of norbornene-derived structural units. The proportion of meso diads of cis-structural units (I) of formula (I), shown below, included among the norbornene-derived structural units is not less than 0% and not more than 30% or is not less than 70% and not more than 100%. Trans-structural units (II) of formula (II), shown below, constitute a proportion of not less than 0.5% and not more than 20% among the total of the cis-structural units (I) of formula (I) and the trans-structural units (II) of formula (II).
