Methods are provided for forming crosslinked aromatic polymer coatings. Such coatings may be used on or to encapsulate an insulation component. The coatings are formed for use in a high temperature, high voltage and/or corrosive environments. The method includes providing a composition comprising at least one crosslinkable aromatic polymer; heat processing the composition; applying a coating of the composition to an exterior surface of an insulation component; and crosslinking the aromatic polymer in the composition to provide a coated insulation component.

An environment control system utilizes oxygen and humidity control devices that are coupled with an enclosure to independently control the oxygen concentration and the humidity level within the enclosure. An oxygen depletion device may be an oxygen depletion electrolyzer cell that reacts with oxygen within the cell and produces water through electrochemical reactions. A desiccating device may be g, a dehumidification electrolyzer cell, a desiccator, a membrane desiccator or a condenser. A controller may control the amount of voltage and/or current provided to the oxygen depletion electrolyzer cell and therefore the rate of oxygen reduction and may control the amount of voltage and/or current provided to the dehumidification electrolyzer cell and therefore the rate of humidity reduction. The oxygen level may be determined by the measurement of voltage and a limiting current of the oxygen depletion electrolyzer cell. The enclosure may be a food or artifact enclosure.

An object of the invention is to provide a thermoplastic resin prepreg that gives a fiber-reinforced composite material with excellent mechanical strength even through molding at a low temperature within a short period of time. The thermoplastic resin prepreg of the invention is a thermoplastic resin prepreg including at least a reinforcing fiber substrate and a thermoplastic resin composition partially or completely impregnated in the reinforcing fiber substrate. The thermoplastic resin prepreg is configured such that the thermoplastic resin composition contains 50 mass % or more of polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) based on the total thermoplastic resin composition, and is a thermoplastic resin composition having a crystallization enthalpy of 22 J/g or more as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) at a cooling rate of 50° C./min from 400° C.
