CURABLE COMPOSITION, CURED FILM, METHOD OF PRODUCING CURED FILM, ELEMENT, AND DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided are a curable composition and an application thereof. The curable composition contains: a compound A having a polymerizable group (a) and an oxyfluoroalkylene group; a polymerization initiator; and a compound B having a polymerizable group different from the polymerizable group (a). The polymerizable group (a) in the compound A is at least one selected from the group consisting of a vinylphenyl group, a vinylphenyloxy group, a vinylbenzyloxy group, a vinyloxy group, a vinyloxycarbonyl group, a vinylamino group, a vinylaminocarbonyl group, a vinylthio group, an allyloxy group, an allyloxycarbonyl group, an allylamino group, an allylaminocarbonyl group, an allylthio group, an epoxy group, and an epoxycycloalkyl group.
BIFUNCTIONAL FLUORINATED POLYMERS COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF (PER)FLUOROPOLYETHER SEGMENTS
A polymer [polymer (P)] comprising a plurality of (per)fluoropolyether (PFPE) segments [segments (S.sup.RF)] joined together by hydrogenated (poly)ether segments [segments (S.sup.H)], said polymers (P) having two end groups [groups (E)], each group (E) comprising a hydroxy or a leaving group, with the proviso that the hydrogenated (polytether segment (S.sup.H) is not a segment of formula —CH.sub.2OCH.sub.2 2 OCH.sub.2— is herein disclosed. Disclosed is also a method for the manufacture of polymer (P) and a polymer obtainable by full or partial fluorination of polymer (P). Polymer (P) and polymers obtainable therefrom by full or partial fluorination can be conveniently used in the manufacture of lubricant compositions or of compositions for imparting hydro-/oleo-repellence to substrates. Said polymers can also be used as intermediates for the manufacture of other polymers or block copolymers.
HIGH TEMPERATURE LOW OUTGAS FLUORINATED THERMAL INTERFACE MATERIAL
A high temperature low outgas thermal interface material is provided. The thermal interface material includes a plurality of heat conducting particles dispersed within a fluorine containing fluid such as perfluoropolyether. The high temperature low outgas thermal interface material provides thermal conductivity between a heat source and a heat sink at temperatures greater than 200° C.
PERFLUOROPOLYETHER BLOCK-CONTAINING ORGANOHYDROGENPOLYSILOXANE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is a perfluoropolyether block-containing organohydrogenpolysiloxane that is superior in compatibility with organopolysiloxanes, has an organohydrogensiloxy unit capable of being subjected to a hydrosilylation reaction with alkenyl groups, and allows the organohydrogensiloxy unit and siloxane contents thereof to be easily controlled. The invention is a perfluoropolyether block-containing organohydrogenpolysiloxane represented by the following formula (1)

This invention provides for a composition particularly useful in a method comprising applying the composition to a surface to be lubricated, said composition comprising: at least one polymer (P) comprising a partially or fully fluorinated, straight or branched, polyoxyalkylene chain (R.sub.f) having two chain ends, wherein one or both chain end(s) bear(s) a hydroxy-, alkoxy- or acyl-oxy-terminated polyoxyalkylene chain free from fluorine atoms (R.sub.a), said chain comprising from 4 to 50 fluorine-free oxyalkylene units, said units being the same or different from one another and being selected from —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O— and —CH.sub.2CH(O)O—, wherein J is independently straight or branched alkyl or aryl, preferably methyl, ethyl or phenyl and water.

Disclosed are a diamine represented by the following formula, a polyimide and a polyamide using the same as the raw material, a cyclized product thereof, and a method for producing the same. In the formula, A represents a single bond, an ether bond, a sulfide bond, CO, CH.sub.2, SO, SO.sub.2, C(CH.sub.3).sub.2, NHCO or C(CF.sub.3).sub.2, or a bivalent group having an aliphatic ring, a hetero ring or an aromatic ring, R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.1-4alkyl group or a halogen group, and each of “a” and “b” independently represents an integer of 0-2, and 1≦a+b≦4. The polyimide and the polyamide are a fluorescent polyimide and a fluorescent polyamide that are easily soluble in organic solvents to the extent that they can be formed into a film by a wet process when making an optical device, that have heat resistance and strength when formed into a film, and that have superior fluorescent characteristics. ##STR00001##

wherein Rf is a monovalent fluorooxyalkyl or divalent fluorooxyalkylene-containing polymer residue, Y is a divalent to hexavalent hydrocarbon group which may have a silicon atom and/or a siloxane bond, W is a divalent to hexavalent hydrocarbon group which may have a silicon atom and/or a siloxane bond, R is independently an alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl, X is independently hydroxyl or a hydrolyzable group, the letters n, a and m are respectively integers from 1 to 3, 1 to 5 and 1 to 5, and α is 1 or 2. A surface treating agent containing this silane and/or a partial (hydrolytic) condensate thereof, when applied to an article, forms a coat of excellent water/oil repellency and abrasion resistance.
