FLUORINATED ETHER POLYMER, THE PREPARATION METHOD THERFORE AND USE THEREOF
The embodiments herein relate to a fluorinated ether polymer which is capable of forming coatings with stain resistance, anti-fingerprint and anti-scratching properties. The polymer may be cured with multiple measures, therefore it has a variety of applications in coating and ink industry. The fluorinated ether polymers of the embodiments herein may be added into coating formulations to decrease the surface energy of resulting coatings. It is also feasible that the fluorinated ether polymers of the embodiments herein are used as the main resin component in coating formulations. The embodiments herein also relates to a method for manufacturing the polyester resin, and the use of the polyester resin in industries.

Provided is a compound with which a lubricant having excellent adhesion to a magnetic disk, particularly to a protective layer can be provided. A perfluoropolyether compound in accordance with one aspect of this invention has a structure in which two perfluoropolyethers are bonded to each other through an aliphatic ether, the aliphatic ether including a carbon atom to which a primary alcohol is bonded.

The invention pertains to a polyunsaturated compound having formula (I) [compound (DAIC-PFPE)]: T.sup.A-OR.sub.f-T.sup.A wherein: R.sub.f is (per)fluoropolyoxyalkylene chain [chain (R.sub.f)] comprising recurring units having at least one catenary ether bond and Sat least one fluorocarbon moiety; T.sup.A and T.sup.A, equal to or different from each other, are selected from the group consisting of: (i) C.sub.1-C.sub.24 (hydro)(fluoro)carbon groups, possibly comprising one or more than one of H, O, and Cl; and (ii) (hydro)(fluoro)carbon group comprising at least one diallylisocyanurate group of formula (A) wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, and R.sup.6 is, independently, a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1-C.sub.3 hydrocarbon group, preferably a hydrogen atom (group T.sup.DAIC), with the provisio that at least one of T.sup.A and T.sup.A is a group T.sup.DAIC, to a process for its manufacture and its use for curing fluoroelastomers, to fluoroelastomer compositions comprising the same, as well as to a process for producing fluororubber mouldings therefrom.

MULTIPHASE COATINGS WITH SEPARATED FUNCTIONAL PARTICLES, AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Some variations provide a multiphase polymer composition comprising a first polymer material and a second polymer material that are chemically distinct, wherein the first polymer material and the second polymer material are microphase-separated on a microphase-separation length scale from about 0.1 microns to about 500 microns, wherein the multiphase polymer composition comprises first solid functional particles selectively dispersed within the first polymer material, and wherein the first solid functional particles are chemically distinct from the first polymer material and the second polymer material. Some embodiments provide an anti-corrosion composition comprising first corrosion-inhibitor particles or precursors selectively dispersed within the first polymer material, wherein the multiphase polymer composition optionally further comprises second corrosion-inhibitor particles or precursors selectively dispersed within the second polymer material. These multiphase polymer compositions may be used for other applications, such as self-cleaning, self-healing, or flame-retardant coatings. Methods of making and using these multiphase polymer compositions are disclosed.
Process for the synthesis of (per)fluoropolyether amines
A process for the manufacture of a (per)fluoropolyether amine comprising reacting a sulfonic ester of a (per)fluoropolyether alcohol with an excess of ammonia or organic amine at selected temperature is herein disclosed. The process allows obtaining (per)fluoropolyether amines, in particular primary, secondary and tertiary (per)fluoropolyether amines with high yields and selectivity and can be conveniently applied on an industrial scale.
Multiphase coatings with separated functional particles, and methods of making and using the same
Some variations provide a multiphase polymer composition comprising a first polymer material and a second polymer material that are chemically distinct, wherein the first polymer material and the second polymer material are microphase-separated on a microphase-separation length scale from about 0.1 microns to about 500 microns, wherein the multiphase polymer composition comprises first solid functional particles selectively dispersed within the first polymer material, and wherein the first solid functional particles are chemically distinct from the first polymer material and the second polymer material. NOVEL (PER)FLUOROPOLYETHER POLYMERS AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to novel (per)fluoropolyether (PFPE) polymers, to a process for their manufacture and to their use as additives in coating compositions.
Treated article and method of making the same
A method of making a treated article having a metal surface. The method includes treating the metal surface with a primer composition comprising a secondary or tertiary amino-functional compound having at least two independently selected silane groups to provide a primed metal surface and subsequently treating the primed metal surface with a treatment composition comprising a fluorinated compound represented by formula Rf{X[Si(Y).sub.3x(R).sub.x].sub.y}.sub.z. An article treated by such a method is also disclosed. The use of a secondary or tertiary amino-functional compound having at least two independently selected silane groups as a primer for a metal surface before treatment with the fluorinated silane and a method of treating a metal surface with a treatment composition including the secondary or tertiary amino-functional compound having at least two independently selected silane groups and certain fluorinated silanes are also disclosed.
