PREPARING A BLEND OF POLYSACCHARIDE AND INGREDIENT
The invention is directed to a method of preparing a blend comprising a polysaccharide and a water soluble or dispersible ingredient. More in particular, the invention relates to the preparation of such blend using a filter centrifuge. The method of the invention comprises a. feeding a polysaccharide slurry to a filter centrifuge via a first inlet; b. rotating the filter centrifuge at a first centrifuge speed to provide a polysaccharide cake; c. feeding a sprayable ingredient to the filter centrifuge via a second inlet; and d. spraying the sprayable ingredient onto the polysaccharide cake while rotating the filter centrifuge at a second centrifuge speed to produce a blend of the polysaccharide and the ingredient.

SUSPENSIONS IN AQUEOUS MEDIA
Provided is a suspension comprising liquid droplets dispersed in an aqueous medium, wherein said droplets comprise (a) one or more water-insoluble compounds, and (b) a vinyl polyelectrolyte (PED) having a polarity, and wherein said aqueous medium comprises a polyelectrolyte (PEW) having a polarity that is opposite to the polarity of said polyelectrolyte (PED). Also provided are a method of making such a suspension and a method using such a suspension in a process of suspension polymerization.
SUSPENSIONS IN AQUEOUS MEDIA
Provided is a suspension comprising liquid droplets dispersed in an aqueous medium, wherein said droplets comprise (a) one or more water-insoluble compounds, and (b) a vinyl polyelectrolyte (PED) having a polarity, and wherein said aqueous medium comprises a polyelectrolyte (PEW) having a polarity that is opposite to the polarity of said polyelectrolyte (PED). Also provided are a method of making such a suspension and a method using such a suspension in a process of suspension polymerization.
Aqueous dispersion of polyurethane
The present invention relates to an aqueous dispersion of polyurethane and a method for preparing the same, use thereof in a coating composition, and a coated product. The aqueous dispersion of polyurethane comprises a polyurethane polymer which is obtained by a reaction of a reaction mixture comprising a polyurethane prepolymer A) and an isocyanate-reactive component B), said polyurethane prepolymer A) being obtained by a reaction comprising the following components: A1) a polyisocyanate which has a functionality of not less than 2; and A2) a multifunctional polyether polyol which has a functionality of not less than 3 in an amount of 1% to 30% by weight, based on the amount of said reaction mixture as 100% by weight. The aqueous dispersion of polyurethane according to the present invention is well dispersed, and is capable of forming a coat with good waterproof, moisture permeability and washing resistance.

The present invention relates to an aqueous dispersion of polyurethane and a method for preparing the same, use thereof in a coating composition, and a coated product. The aqueous dispersion of polyurethane comprises a polyurethane polymer which is obtained by a reaction of a reaction mixture comprising a polyurethane prepolymer A) and an isocyanate-reactive component B), said polyurethane prepolymer A) being obtained by a reaction comprising the following components: A1) a polyisocyanate which has a functionality of not less than 2; and A2) a multifunctional polyether polyol which has a functionality of not less than 3 in an amount of 1% to 30% by weight, based on the amount of said reaction mixture as 100% by weight. LIQUID CROSSLINKING AGENT AND COATING FLUID OF LIQUID CROSSLINKING AGENT
Provided is a liquid crosslinking agent in which liquid life (pot life) as an undiluted solution is sufficiently long and excellent coating properties are exhibited when used. A liquid crosslinking agent containing an epoxy compound and an emulsifier, in which a content of water is 39% by mass or less with respect to a total amount of a liquid, and a contact angle with respect to a poly(ethylene-methacrylic acid) film when preparing an aqueous dispersion in which a concentration of a non-volatile component is 15% by mass is 42.0° or less. It is preferable that the epoxy compound has two or more epoxy groups in molecules, and it is preferable that the emulsifier is a nonionic surfactant. Provided is a coating method of a liquid crosslinking agent including diluting the liquid crosslinking agent with water to be used for coating.
Aqueous polyurethane dispersion with non-ionic reactive emulsifier and sulfonate group
The present invention relates to a method for preparing an aqueous polyurethane (PU) dispersion with non-ionic reactive emulsifiers and sulfonate groups. The aqueous PU dispersion includes the following components: 10-40 parts by weight of polymer polyol, 5-20 parts by weight of isocyanate monomer, 0.1-1.5 parts by weight of trimethylolpropane, 3-15 parts by weight of monofunctional alkoxy polyethylene glycol or propylene glycol, 0.5-2.0 parts by weight of diaminosulphonate chain extender, 0.5-3.0 parts by weight of non-ionic organic amine chain extender, 0.01-0.05 parts by weight of catalyst, 0-8 parts by weight of organic solvent, 50-80 parts by weight of deionized water, and 0.1-5 parts by weight of thickener. In the presence of non-ionic reactive emulsifiers, introduction of sulfonate groups at late chain extension stage of the aqueous PU dispersion obtain stable large-size polymer particles. A coating film thereof has a 60° gloss of <1.0; the emulsion has excellent storage stability and redispersibility.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing an aqueous polyurethane (PU) dispersion with non-ionic reactive emulsifiers and sulfonate groups. The aqueous PU dispersion includes the following components: 10-40 parts by weight of polymer polyol, 5-20 parts by weight of isocyanate monomer, 0.1-1.5 parts by weight of trimethylolpropane, 3-15 parts by weight of monofunctional alkoxy polyethylene glycol or propylene glycol, 0.5-2.0 parts by weight of diaminosulphonate chain extender, 0.5-3.0 parts by weight of non-ionic organic amine chain extender, 0.01-0.05 parts by weight of catalyst, 0-8 parts by weight of organic solvent, 50-80 parts by weight of deionized water, and 0.1-5 parts by weight of thickener. In the presence of non-ionic reactive emulsifiers, introduction of sulfonate groups at late chain extension stage of the aqueous PU dispersion obtain stable large-size polymer particles. A coating film thereof has a 60° gloss of <1.0; the emulsion has excellent storage stability and redispersibility.
