Gelatin polymer derived from natural sources of cold-adapted marine species and uses thereof
The present invention refers to a composition comprising a solution which in turn comprises an amino acidic chain gelatin polymer derived from natural sources of cold-adapted marine species, at a concentration from 1% to 20% (w/v), which optionally further comprises a polymerizing initiator such as a photoinitiator, and is chemically functionalized to become reactive to polymerization or crosslinking in presence of free radicals. This composition is especially useful for 3D printing, extrusion systems (additive fabrication), spray systems, casting, micro- and nano fibers fabrication systems (electrospinning, solution blow spinning) or microfluidics.

Gel composition and production method therefor
Provided is a production method for a gel composition including steps (1) to (3) mentioned below: step (1) of mixing at room temperature a partial degradation product of the galactose moiety of galactoxyloglucan and an aqueous solvent to obtain a mixture; step (2) of cooling or freezing the mixture obtained in step (1); and step (3) of gelling the mixture cooled or frozen in step (2) by heating to obtain a gel composition that includes the galactose-partial degradation product.

Emergency Ultrasound Gel
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an ultrasound gel that can be applied directly to wounds for emergency personnel in the field or in the Emergency Department. The problems is that one does not want to contaminate a wound with normal ultrasound gel and sterile ultrasound gel may take extra time to apply and cause irritation or sensitization to an open wound. This ultrasound gel is designed to be applied to open contaminated wounds by medical personnel for diagnostic evaluation of trauma, critical care, or emergency patients.

Hydrogel membrane for adhesion prevention
A biocompatible membrane comprised of alginate and hyaluronate. The membrane may be used to prevent unwanted scarring after surgery. The tissue adherence and the rate of bioresorption of the membrane may be modified through an external stimulus comprising a sequestering agent and a viscosity modifier.

BACTERIAL BETA-LACTAMASE RESPONSIVE HYDROGELS
The invention provides a “host-guest” supramolecular hydrogel. The hydrogel contains an AAm/NVP interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) with supramolecular cross-linkers assembled from β-lactam/adamantane-containing guest molecule with host polymeric cyclodextrin (PCD). An advantage of this hydrogel is that because of the molecular association of polymeric cyclodextrin and adamantane, the supramolecular hydrogels self-heal without any external stimuli after the hydrogels are severed. The invention also provides methods of making the hydrogel, methods of making the synthesis intermediates, and methods of diagnosis or treatment of β-lactamase-containing bacteria.
