DISSOLUTION OF OXIDIZED CELLULOSE
A process for dissolving modified cellulose is disclosed. The process includes contacting modified cellulose with a solvent in a mixture to form swelled modified cellulose and then contacting the mixture with a salt to dissolve the swelled modified cellulose.
CELLULOSE-CONTAINING MATERIALS
Disclosed is a process for solubilising cellulose and coagulating the resulting solution to form a cellulose-containing material. The process comprises contacting a cellulose source with a solvent comprising zinc ions and formic acid to provide a solution, coagulating the solution to provide a solid material, treating the solid material, and isolating the solid material after treatment, to provide the cellulose-containing material. The process can further comprise solubilising protein and coagulating the resulting solution to form a cellulose/protein-containing material. The cellulose-containing materials and cellulose/protein-containing materials can be produced, for example, as reconstituted fibres and films.
Dissolution of oxidized cellulose
A process for dissolving modified cellulose is disclosed. The process includes contacting modified cellulose with a solvent in a mixture to form swelled modified cellulose and then contacting the mixture with a salt to dissolve the swelled modified cellulose.
Polar solvent solution and production method thereof
A polar solvent solution of the present invention is a polar solvent solution in which a solute containing a polyamine acid is dissolved in a polar solvent. An inorganic salt is added to the solution, and a mole ratio of moisture to the inorganic salt in the solution is 2.5×m×n or less, where m represents the number of cations forming the inorganic salt and n represents a charge number of the cation. A production method of the present invention is a method for producing the above solution, including: changing at, least one of a moisture content and a content of the inorganic salt in the solution to adjust a viscosity of the solution. Thus, the present invention provides a polar solvent solution whose viscosity can be easily adjusted to a desired value and thus enables stable spinning and casting when used as dopes for spinning, film, etc., and methods for producing the same.
BIO-DEGRADABLE COMPOSITIONS AND USE THEREOF
A method for preparing a rooting plug is disclosed. The method calls for mixing a composition comprising (i) 0.2%-10% w/w bio-degradable polymer and (ii) an organic non-hydroxylic solvent with a plug mix. The resulting method prepares a rooting plug.
Bio-degradable compositions and use thereof
A bio-degradable plant pot having calcium carbonate. And a method for preparing a rooting plug. The method calls for mixing a composition having (i) 0.2%-10% w/w bio-degradable polymer and (ii) an organic non-hydroxylic solvent with plug mix, thereby preparing a rooting plug.
Siloxane composition and method for producing same
Provided are a siloxane composition, said siloxane composition showing physical properties between a dimethyl polysiloxane oil and a gelatinous crosslinked siloxane and being fluid or becoming fluid when dissolved in a solvent, and a method for producing the same. The siloxane composition, which is obtained by subjecting specific starting organopolysiloxane materials to an addition reaction in a large excess (i.e., 8 times by mass or greater as much as the starting materials) of a solvent, comprises a crosslinked organopolysiloxane, said crosslinked organopolysiloxane having a weight-average molecular weight of 5,000-300,000,000 and containing 0.1-50 mol of silethylene bond per 1,000 mol of siloxane unit, dissolved in the solvent.
The solution has a moisture content of less than 5 mass % based on 100 mass % of the solution. A method for producing a polar solvent solution of the present invention includes changing a moisture content of the solution to adjust the viscosity of the solution. Further, another method for producing a polar solvent solution includes reducing a moisture content of the solution to increase the viscosity of the solution. Thus, the present invention provides a polar solvent solution that enables stable spinning and casting without lowering its viscosity when used as dopes for spinning, film, etc., and methods for producing the same.
Method for preparing a solution of a sulfonated polymer and an amino-phosphonic acid in an aprotic solvent
A method is disclosed for production of solutions of aminophosphonic acids and polymeric sulfonic acids in aprotic solvents. Membranes for membrane methodologies are produced from said solutions. Said membranes can also be doped with phosphoric acid.
