Transmission V-belt
A power transmission V-belt includes a tension member, an adhesion rubber layer in which at least part of the tension member is embedded, and a tension rubber layer and a compression rubber layer stacked via the adhesion rubber layer. A rubber hardness of the tension rubber layer is smaller than a rubber hardness of the compression rubber layer. In the adhesion rubber layer, a rubber hardness on a tension rubber layer side relative to the tension member is smaller than a rubber hardness on a compression rubber layer side.
THERMOSETTING ADHESIVE FILMS
Flexible films of thermosetting adhesive materials which are non-tacky to the touch are storage stable at room temperature and can be cured at elevated temperature with a short cure time and can be cured to produce a tough flexible adhesive layer including bonding to oily surfaces, the materials are particularly useful in bonding together dissimilar substrates.
ENGINEERED COMPOSITE MATERIALS
A composite material including mycelium fibers and proteins is described herein. The composite material can include a first protein substrate layer and a second mycelium layer, where the first and second layer are attached to each other. The composite material can include a first protein substrate layer, a second mycelium layer, and a third substrate layer, where the first layer and the second layer are attached to each other, and the second layer and third layer are attached to each other.
Artificial leather having water-based polyurethane foam layer and method of manufacturing the same
The present invention relates to artificial leather having a water-based polyurethane foam layer including a fabric layer 110; a binder layer 111 laminated on the upper portion of the fabric layer 110; a water-based polyurethane foam layer 120 laminated on the upper portion of the fabric layer 110; a skin layer 130 laminated on the upper portion of the water-based polyurethane foam layer 120; and a surface treatment layer 140 laminated on the upper portion of the skin layer 130, wherein open cells are formed in the water-based polyurethane foam layer 120 through mechanical foaming. According to the present invention, a water-based polyurethane foam layer having open cells formed through mechanical foaming is applied to artificial leather for automobile seats.
Method for adhering resin molded articles
To provide a technique of improving adhesion of a resin molded article including a polyalkylene terephthalate resin to a silicon adhesive. A polyalkylene terephthalate resin is used in which an aromatic dicarboxylic acid excluding terephthalic acid, and/or an ester compound thereof is subjected to copolymerization as a modified component, and the content of the modified component relative to the total dicarboxylic acid component is at least 13 mol % and no more than 35 mol %. It is preferable if the modified polyalkylene terephthalate resin is a modified polybutylene terephthalate resin, and the aromatic dicarboxylic acid and/or an ester compound thereof is isophthalic acid and/or an ester compound thereof.
PVC BOARD AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A novel PVC board and method of manufacture. The board includes a compressible layer to provide flooring that is comfortable to walk on, and a polyurethane surface that is easy to clean. The method of manufacture simplifies the production process, and improves production time and efficiency.
RETORT FOOD PACKAGING FILM CONTAINING GRAPHENE
The present application relates to a retort food packaging film containing graphene and a method for manufacturing the retort food packaging film.
POLYMERIC DEVICES AND METHODS OF MAKING
Some polymeric devices, as described herein, can be made of a first layer and a second layer bonded together with one or more microfluidic channels defined internal to the device. The first layer and the second layer may each include a substrate and a polymer bonded to the substrate. The two layers may be bonded through a polymer network that interpenetrates the polymers in the first and second layers. This disclosure also describes methods of bonding together polymeric articles. The methods include diffusing polymerizable monomers and radical forming initiators into the surfaces of one or both of the polymers, putting the surfaces into contact, and initiating polymerization to create a polymer network that interpenetrates the polymers.
Thermoplastic/thermoset grafted composites
Disclosed are thermoset/thermoplastic composites that include a thermoset component directly or indirectly bonded to a thermoplastic component via a crosslinked binding layer between the two. The crosslinked binding layer is bonded to the thermoplastic component via epoxy linkages and is either directly or indirectly bonded to the thermoset component via epoxy linkages. The composite can be a laminate and can provide a route for addition of a thermoplastic implant to a thermoset structure.
