Lightweight polymer bottle for wine and spirits
A container for alcohol, e.g., a wine bottle, formed of a polycarbonate wall sandwiched between exterior and interior coatings, at least one of which may be an epoxy of 4,4′-isopropylidenedicyclohexanol and 1-chloro-2,3,-epoxypropane, crosslinked with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The polycarbonate wall may be an extrusion blow molded monolithic form at least 1.5 mm thick, and either or both of the exterior coating and the interior coating may have a thickness between 1 nm and 100 μm, inclusive.
SUPERABSORBENT MATERIAL ABSORBENT CAPACITY INCREASE WITH USE OF MULTIFUNCTIONAL CHEMICAL AGENTS
The present invention discloses a method for increasing absorbent capacity of a superabsorbent material (SAM) by treating the SAM with a selected multifunctional chemical agent (MCA) or a combination of a plurality of selected MCAs. The selected MCA(s) may interact with the polymer chain of the SAM through one or a plurality of mechanisms that enhance the absorbent capacity of the SAM. In various preferred embodiments, SAMs include polyelectrolytes that are made from polymerizing mixtures of acrylic acid monomer and acrylic acid sodium salt, and L-arginine or lysine is selected as the MCA.
Primers For Use With Solvent Cements
Provided are primer formulations for solvent cement bonding comprising cyclopentanone and, optionally, at least one additional organic solvent. The primer formulations are effective for solvent cement bonding plastic components together, wherein the plastic components may include ABS, PVC, or CPVC pipes and/or fittings.
METHOD FOR TREATING A POLYMER PART IN ORDER TO MODIFY ITS ROUGHNESS AND/OR TO FUNCTIONALISE IT
A method for treating a polymer part comprising a step of bringing the part into contact with vapours of solvent(s), capable of at least partially solubilising the part, this contacting step being carried out under vacuum. Application of this method for modifying the roughness of the part and/or functionalising it.
Method of applying particles
The present application relates to a method of applying particles, an optical film and a method of manufacturing an active liquid crystal device. In the method of applying particles of the present application, the particles can be uniformly applied on a base material and fixed while maintaining the shape of particles. The optical film of the present invention produced by the above method can have excellent particle dispersity. A method of manufacturing an active liquid crystal device using the above method can maintain a cell gap uniformly while simplifying the manufacturing process and preventing gravity defects.
Hydrogel compositions bonded to polymeric substrates
Described herein is a hydrogel-containing multilayer article and methods of making, said hydrogel-containing multilayer article comprising: (i) a polymeric substrate comprising an abstractable atom; and (ii) a cured aqueous coating composition thereon wherein the coating composition comprises: (a) a hydrophilic monomer comprising a (meth)acrylamide, (meth)acrylate, and combinations thereof: (b) at least 2 wt % of a water-swellable clay; (c) a water-soluble type I photoinitiator; and (d) an acid or salt wherein a water insoluble type II photoinitiator is localized at the interface between the hydrogel coating and the polymeric substrate.
BIOFLAVONOID IMPREGNATED MATERIALS
Cellulosic fibrous materials are described which are impregnated with a bioflavonoid composition, the bioflavonoid content of the composition comprising at least naringin and neohesperidin. The use of such impregnated materials is also described, for example as paper or bamboo towels and cardboard, as well as the process for impregnating the materials.
DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The manufacturing method of the display panel include following blocks: providing a light-emitting element; coating a polymer solution on a light-emitting element and performing a first annealing process to the light-emitting element after it is coated with the polymer solution to form a first protecting layer; and coating an organic compound solution on the first protecting layer so that the organic compound solution is self-assembled on the first protecting layer to form a second protecting layer, wherein the second protecting layer has a crosslinking three-dimensional network structure.
LUBRICATION METHOD
The invention relates to a method for lubricating a component consisting of a hydrophilic compound crosslinked by means of a water-soluble transition metal chelate.
