Lithium Ion Battery Using Crosslinkable Separator
A separator for an electricity storage device comprising a silane-modified polyolefin, wherein silane crosslinking reaction of the silane-modified polyolefin is initiated when it contacts with the electrolyte solution, as well as a method for producing the separator.
Nanocomposite material made of a polymer-matrix comprising PEO- containing polymers and salts of luminescent polyanionic metal clusters
The present invention concerns a solid nanocomposite material consisting of a polymer-matrix in which are dispersed alkali metal, hydronium or ammonium salts of polyanionic components, wherein the polymer-matrix comprises at least a linear or branched polymer or copolymer containing one or several poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) chains, said polymer or copolymer being optionally crosslinked and each PEO chain having at least 4 ethylene oxide monomer units. The present invention relates also to a photonic, e.g. optoelectronic, device comprising such a nanocomposite material. Such material and device can be used as phosphorescence emitter, for crop growth lighting or for generating singlet oxygen.
Acoustically active materials
A polymer matrix composite includes a porous polymeric network structure; and a plurality of acoustically active particles distributed within the polymeric network structure. The weight fraction of acoustically active particles is between 0.80 and 0.99, based on the total weight of the polymer matrix composite. The polymer matrix composite has an air flow resistance of less than 100 seconds/50 mL/500 μm.
AIR PERMEABLE FILTER MATERIAL COMPRISING A POLYMER AEROGEL
An air-permeable filter material that includes a polymeric aerogel having a polymeric matrix comprising an open-cell structure is disclosed. The air-permeable filter material can be included in a mask, which can be configured to be placed over a user's mouth and/or nose. The mask can include at least one layer of the air-permeable filter material and is positioned such that inhaled and/or exhaled air of the user passes through the filter material.
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTTERY POROUS LAYER
As a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery porous layer that is excellent in durability with respect to charge-discharge cycles, provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery porous layer including a resin which has an amide bond and which contains a component that is to be eluted into N-methylpyrrolidone. A contained amount of the component that is to be eluted into N-methylpyrrolidone is not less than 6.0% by weight and not more than 25.0% by weight relative to a total weight of the resin having the amide bond.
POLYMER AEROGEL WITH IMPROVED MECHANICAL AND THERMAL PROPERTIES
An aerogel that includes an open-cell structured polymer matrix is disclosed. The aerogel includes 5 wt. % to 50 wt. % of a polyamic amide polymer, based on the total weight of the aerogel, pores and at least 90% of the pore volume of the aerogel is made up of macropores, a porosity of at least 50%, as measure according to ASTM D4404-10, a density of 0.01 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.5 g/cm.sup.3, and the aerogel is thermally stable to resist browning at 330° C.
POLYMER AEROGEL WITH IMPROVED MECHANICAL AND THERMAL PROPERTIES
Aerogel compositions that include polyamic amides, methods for preparing the aerogel compositions, and articles of manufacture that include or manufactured from the aerogel compositions are described.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF POROUS MEDIUM OF OLEFIN-BASED RESIN, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF SEPARATOR FOR BATTERY, AND MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A polymer solution is created by mixing an olefin-based resin and a solvent in a pressure vessel. A high-pressure fluid of carbon dioxide is created. Temperature of the high-pressure fluid is adjusted. A mixed fluid is created by mixing the high-pressure fluid of which the temperature is adjusted and the polymer solution in the pressure vessel. Cooling of the mixed fluid causes phase separation of the mixed fluid to occur. After phase separation, pressure in the pressure vessel is released, and the solvent and the carbon dioxide vaporize. The vaporizing of the solvent and the carbon dioxide creates a porous medium of olefin-based resin.
POROUS SILICONE BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING POROUS SILICONE BODY
The present invention relates to a porous silicone body having communicating pores and a three-dimensional network silicone skeleton that forms the pores, wherein the silicone skeleton is formed by polymerization of a bifunctional alkoxysilane and a trifunctional alkoxysilane, and the proportion of unreacted parts in the silicone skeleton is 10 mol % or less. The porous silicone body of the present invention has high flexibility and high heat resistance, and further has excellent recoverability of heat-resistant cushioning properties.
