This disclosure relates to a composite comprising (a) a rubber layer comprising a cured rubber and optionally a first copolymer having carboxyl groups or anhydride groups; and (b) a foam layer comprising a crosslinked ethylene vinyl acetate and optionally a second copolymer having carboxyl groups or glycidyl methacrylate groups; wherein the foam layer has at least one surface adhering to the rubber layer directly, and provided that either the first copolymer or the second copolymer is present, and the composite is free of glues or adhesive films in the interface between the rubber layer and the foam layer.
POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITIONS HAVING IMPROVED ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES
The present disclosure relates to a curable composition comprising: (A) a polyolefin; (B) a fumed alumina; (C) a silane compound; (D) a UV stabilizer; and, optionally, (E) a crosslinking agent, where the curable composition demonstrates improved electrical properties. The present disclosure further relates to a crosslinked polymer composition that is the reaction product of the curable composition, where improved electrical properties are demonstrated as well.

A process of melt compounding a polyolefin formulation comprising a ethylenic-based (co)polymer, an antioxidant, and from 0.15 to 1.00 weight percent of an organic peroxide having a 1-hour half-life temperature of less than or equal to 155 degrees Celsius (° C.) and/or a 10-hour half-life temperature of less than or equal to 135° C. Molded product comprising polarized olefin-based polymer and property thereof
The object of the invention is to provide a novel olefin-based molded product useful for various applications. An olefin-based molded product comprising a polymer including a structural unit of at least one polar olefin monomer represented by the general formula (I) CH.sub.2═CH—R.sup.2—Z(R.sup.1).sub.n is provided. In the formula, Z is a hetero atom selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, sulfur, and selenium; R.sup.1 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms; n is an integer of 1 or 2 depending on the atomic species of Z; and R.sup.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbylene group having 2 to 20 carbon atoms.
THERMALLY EXPANDABLE COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING AN ENDOTHERMIC BLOWING AGENT
A thermally expandable composition includes at least one epoxy-functional polymer, at least one endothermic chemical blowing agent, at least one free radical initiator, and at least one guanidine derivative. The invention is also related to a baffle and/or a reinforcement element for hollow structures including the thermally expandable composition, to a process for manufacturing the baffle and/or the reinforcement element, to use of the baffle and/or the reinforcement element for sealing, baffling, or reinforcing of a cavity or a hollow structure, and to a method for sealing, baffling and/or reinforcing a cavity or hollow structure.
POLYMER RECYCLATE PROCESSES AND PRODUCTS
Methods for processing LLDPE recyclates including, but not limited to, polyethylene and polypropylene and compositions therefrom are provided. LLDPE recyclate can be visbroken to improve processing characteristics and/or devolatilized to remove waste byproducts to produce processed LLDPE recyclates. Processed LLDPE recyclates are compounded with pre-consumer polyolefins to produce blend compositions having acceptable or even improved processing characteristics. Such pre-consumer polyolefins can also be visbroken to further tailor processing characteristics of such polymer blends. A combination of extruders and/or extruder zones can be used at the same or different locations for visbreaking and/or compounding of both LLDPE recyclate and/or pre-consumer polyolefins.
