Method and apparatus for rotary molding
A rotary molding system for molding food products, mold cavities formed when a mold shell rotates mold shapes disposed along the mold shell into a fill position between a fill plate and a wear plate. Molded food products are removed from mold cavities using knock-out cups, the use of air pressure, or the use of a vacuum source disposed below the mold cavity, without the need to slow the rotation of the mold shell. Knock-out cups may be used with a heating system to reduce accumulation of unwanted materials on the knock-out cups. The rotary molding system can also be used to form products with contoured surfaces. A smart tagging system can be used to ensure that compatible sets of mold shells and knock out cups are being used. A vacuum region may be disposed upstream of the fill position to remove air within the mold cavity prior to filling.
PATTERNED INSERT FOR A FOOD FORMING MACHINE
A food forming system includes a rotatable drum, an inner platen, and a first insert plate. The rotatable drum comprises an aperture. The inner platen is disposed in a fixed position within the rotatable drum. The rotatable drum is configured to rotate relative to the inner platen. When the rotatable drum is in a first rotated position the inner platen blocks the aperture, and when the rotatable drum is in a second rotated position the inner platen does not block the aperture. The first insert plate is attached to the rotatable drum directly over the aperture. The first insert plate includes a first food forming pattern having at least one opening.
System and method for grinding a food product
A system includes a food dispenser, a cooking surface, and an arm assembly. The arm assembly is configured to receive a food product from the food dispenser and transport the food product to the cooking surface. The arm assembly includes an arm portion, an actuator, a cylinder, and a piston. The actuator drives rotation of the arm portion about a first rotational axis. The cylinder is attached to the arm portion and is rotatable relative to the arm portion about a second rotational axis. The piston is axially movable within the cylinder. The piston includes multiple stages. At least one of the stages is movable axially relative to another of the stages between a first position and a second position.
FOOD FORMING APPARATUS WITH A FOOD FEED MEMBER
The present invention relates to a food-forming-apparatus with: a rotating drum (5) which comprises product cavities in which a food product is formed from a food mass and a food mass feed member (23), which comprises a housing with an infeed channel (24) and at least one upstream sealing area (25) and/or a downstream sealing area (26) and a flexible pressure plate (7) which is pressed against the outer surface of the drum and thereby provides a seal between the food mass member and the drum. The drum has at its outer surface a multitude of rows of cavities.
METHOD AND MOULDING DEVICES FOR MOULDING THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRODUCTS
The invention provides a method for moulding three-dimensional products from a mass of foodstuff starting materials which are suitable for consumption, in particular a meat mass. The method comprises the steps of filling a mould cavity, which is open on one side, with the mass of foodstuff starting materials which are suitable for consumption, which mould cavity is defined by a boundary comprising walls and base, in order to mould a moulded three-dimensional product, and the removal of the moulded three-dimensional product from the mould cavity. In the method according to the invention, during removal the adhesion forces between the moulded product and the boundary are eliminated virtually simultaneously along all the interfaces.
Processing a mass of pumpable foodstuff material
A method and installation for processing a mass of pumpable foodstuff material, for example a ground meat mass. The installation comprises a hopper and a positive displacement pump having an inlet and an outlet. A tube structure connects to the outlet of the pump and has a mouth, e.g. leading to a molding device or a sausage machine. A controllable vacuum assembly causes controlled evacuation of air from the mass in the trajectory of the mass from the hopper to a pump chamber. A controllable aeration assembly causes controlled introduction of a gas into the mass at one or more locations in the trajectory of the mass between the pump outlet and the mouth. A gas pressure control device introduces gas into the mass at a controlled pressure that is at least equal to the actual pressure of the mass at the location of introduction of the gas.
Cleaning of food product moulding inserts
A method is provided for cleaning food product molding inserts that have been temporarily detached from a movable mold member of a molding device that is configured for molding food products from a pumpable foodstuff mass.
Rotatable system to repetitively prepare food patties from a source of flowing food
An apparatus for preparing a plurality of uniformly formed food products. The apparatus includes a rotatable mold plate with a plurality of voids, the plurality of voids are collected into one or more sets of voids in close proximity to each other. A first cover plate is fixed with the mold plate rotatable about the first cover plate. First and second apertures are disposed through the first cover plate, wherein each void of the plurality of voids. A vacuum is applied to the void through the first aperture and flowing food enters the void through the second aperture. The first cover plate has an empty space or is sized to expose a portion of the mold plate. A knock-out assembly is disposed with respect to the voids when outside of the first cover plate, wherein the knockout assembly interacts with voids to remove food patties from the voids.
