Ion exchange membranes may comprise a polymeric microporous substrate and a cross-linked ion transferring polymeric layer on the substrate. The cross-linked ion transferring polymeric layer may comprise a polymerization product of at least a functional monomer and a low value r.sub.2/r.sub.s monomer. The ion exchange membranes may have an apparent permselectivity of at least about 95% and a resistivity of less than about 1.5 Ohm-cm.sup.2.

A bendable panel comprising a substrate layer, wherein the panel is provided with a mechanism enabling the panel to bend. The mechanism enabling the panel to bend is at least one groove or cut, and the depth of the groove or cut is no longer than the panel thickness. The substrate layer is prepared by the following materials with the following mass ratio: 100 parts of PVC resin or PVC powder, 30-55 parts of a styrene based elastomer, 150-300 parts of stone powder, sawdust or rock, 1-10 parts of an additive, and 1-4 parts of an elastomer coupling agent. The panel may be bent during the installation, and several panels can be seamlessly installed.

The present invention is a liquid-repellent film that exhibits an excellent liquid repellency, and a packaging material of which a surface is formed of the same. The liquid-repellent film comprises: an undercoat part (90) formed unevenly on the substrate surface by microparticles (70) and a thermoplastic resin (80); and a topcoat part (60) having: (i) a minute uneven structured part that includes hydrophilic microparticles (20) having a smaller particle size than the microparticles (70); (ii) a liquid-repellent moiety (40) that bonds to the surface of the minute uneven structured part; and (iii) a binder resin (50) that is present between the surface of the undercoat part (90) and the minute uneven structured part, and is distributed to cover the bonding part of the minute uneven structured part and the liquid-repellent moiety (20).

A method for producing a breathable film based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), including the following steps. Preparing a paste-like compound including a first fraction composed of PVC, a second fraction composed of a foreign material, and a third fraction composed of adjuvants and/or additives that that are mixed together to form the paste-like compound, applying the paste-like compound to a base, and drying and gelling the paste-like compound, which has been applied to the base, through the addition of heat, thus forming the film in which pores extending from the one surface of the film to the other are formed, which give the film breathability.

Disclosed is a composition that is liquid at ambient temperature and that includes: •at least one diester of 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol(A); •at least one compound (B), chosen from the modified fatty acids and modified fatty acid esters, the compound (B) bearing at least one epoxy and/or acetyl function; the liquid composition including at least 60% by weight of constituents (A) and (B).
