Polyester composites and their preparation methods
The present disclosure discloses polyester composites and their preparation methods, and belongs to the technical field of polymer processing and modification. The polyester composites of the present disclosure comprise 65 to 90 parts of polyester, 5 to 35 parts of an elastomer, 0.05 to 3 parts of a chain extender and 0.01 to 5 parts of a functional additive. HIGH ENERGY RETURN FOAM COMPOSITIONS HAVING IMPROVED ABRASION RESISTANCE AND USES THEREOF
Components for articles of footwear and athletic equipment are provided including a high energy return foam having improved abrasion resistance. A variety of foams and foam components and compositions for forming the foams are provided. In some aspects, the foams and components including the foams can have exceptionally high energy return while also having improved durability and softness and an improved abrasion resistance. In particular, midsoles including the foams are provided for use in an article of footwear. Methods of making the compositions and foams are provided, as well as methods of making an article of footwear including one of the foam components. In some aspects, the foams and foam components can be made by injection molding or injection molding followed by compression molding.
BLENDS FOR FOAMS, FOAMS MANUFACTURED THEREFROM AND ARTICLES COMPRISING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a foam composition comprising an olefin copolymer that comprises ethylene and an α-olefin or propylene and an α-olefin; an ionomer that comprises copolymer of ethylene and a carboxylic acid; where the ionomer is neutralized with a metal ion; a crosslinking agent; and a blowing agent. Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a foam composition comprising blending together an olefin copolymer that comprises ethylene and an α-olefin or propylene and an α-olefin; an ionomer that comprises copolymer of ethylene and a carboxylic acid; where the ionomer is neutralized with a metal ion; a crosslinking agent; and a blowing agent to form the foam composition; heating the composition to activate the blowing agent; and crosslinking the composition.
HEAT AGING-RESISTANT AND FLEXIBLE POLYOLEFIN FORMULATION
A polyolefin formulation comprising constituents (A) to (E) in the following amounts: from 15.0 to 55.0 weight percent (wt %) of (A) a polypropylene homopolymer; from 77.9 to 30.0 wt % of (B) a poly(ethylene-co-1-alkene) copolymer; from 3.0 to 6.5 wt % of (C) an ethylene/propylene diblock copolymer; from 4.0 to 8.0 wt % of (D) a saturated-and-aromatic (C.sub.14-C.sub.60)hydrocarbon; and from 0.1 to 1.5 wt % of (E) an antioxidant; wherein the wt % of (B) divided by the wt % (A) is a mass ratio of from 5.0:1.0 to 0.50:1.0; and wherein the amounts of constituents (A), (B), and (C) total from 88.0 to 95.9 wt % of the polyolefin formulation; and wherein the amounts of constituents (A) to (E) total from 92.1 to 100.0 wt % of the polyolefin formulation.
Process for preparing crosslinked polyolefin particles
Provided is a method of making a polymeric composition comprising (a) providing a dispersion of initial polyolefin particles in an aqueous medium, wherein the initial polyolefin particles comprise (i) one or more hydrocarbon polyolefin, (ii) one or more non-hydrocarbon polyolefin, and (iii) one or more crosslinking agent; (b) contacting the initial polyolefin particles with a peroxide initiator to form crosslinked polyolefin particles.
Protective film
A protective film of the present invention is used at the time of performing heat bending on the resin substrate, and includes a base material layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adhered to a resin substrate, in which the base material layer includes a first layer which is positioned on an opposite side of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer and has a melting point of 150° C. or higher, and includes a second layer which is positioned on a pressure sensitive adhesive layer side and has a melting point of lower than 150° C., the pressure sensitive adhesive layer has a melting point of lower than 150° C., and MFR of a thermoplastic resin contained in the second layer, which is measured in conformity with JIS K7210, is in a range of 0.5 g/10 min to 4.0 g/10 min.
Ethylene interpolymer products and films
This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer compositions and films prepared therefrom. Specifically: ethylene interpolymer products having: a dimensionless nonlinear rheology network parameter, Δ.sub.int., greater than or equal to 0.01, satisfying 0.01×(Z−50).sup.0.78≤Δ.sub.int.≤0.01×(Z−60).sup.0.78 inequality wherein Z is a normalized molecular weight defined by
where M.sub.w and M.sub.e are the weight average and entanglement molecular weights, and; a residual catalytic metal of from ≥0.03 to ≤5 ppm of hafnium. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.3 to about 500 dg/minute, a density from about 0.855 to about 0.975 g/cc, a polydispersity,
from about 1.7 to about 25 and a Composition Distribution Breadth Index (CDBI.sub.50) from about 1% to about 98%.
POLYOLEFIN-BASED RESIN FILM AND LAMINATE INCLUDING THE SAME
The invention provides a polyolefin-based resin film including a polyolefin-based resin composition that includes at least a propylene-α olefin random copolymer, wherein (1) an olefin-based block copolymer is 0 to 2 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the propylene-α olefin random copolymer; (2) an olefin-based copolymeric elastomer resin is 0 to 2 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the propylene-α olefin random copolymer; (3) a propylene homopolymer is 0 to 40 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the propylene-α olefin random copolymer; (4) the polyolefin-based resin film exhibits a thermal shrinkage rate of 25% or less in a direction in which the thermal shrinkage rate is larger between a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction; and (5) a planar orientation coefficient ΔP calculated from a refractive index of the polyolefin-based resin film is 0.0100-0.0145.
Polyethylene compositions
According to at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, polyethylene formulations and modified polyethylene compositions are provided. Embodiments of the polyethylene formulation may include a free radical generator; and a multimodal polyethylene composition. The multimodal polyethylene composition may include a peak in a temperature range of 95° C. to 120° C. in the elution profile via improved comonomer composition distribution (iCCD), wherein a polyethylene fraction area is an area in the elution profile beneath the peak of the polyethylene fraction between 95° C. and 120° C., and wherein the polyethylene fraction area comprises at least 20% of the total area of the elution profile and a molecular weight (M.sub.w) of less than 80,000 g/mol in the temperature range of from 95° C. to 120° C. on an elution profile via iCCD. The modified polyethylene composition may be the reaction product of the free radical generator and the multimodal polyethylene composition.
