A surface modifying composition for modifying a surface of a formed product made of high-density polyethylene or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, the composition comprising: a copolymer having a unit of a first monomer having an aliphatic group having 10 or more carbon atoms and a unit of a second monomer having any of an amino group, an epoxy group, and an ether group, and a solvent having a boiling point of 100° C. or more and being at least one selected from the group consisting of a halogen-based solvent, an alkane solvent, a cycloalkane solvent, a dicycloalkane solvent, an aromatic solvent, and a nitro-based solvent.

Provided is a method of preparing a composition for forming a polyimide film which may significantly improve dispersibility of a pigment. Specifically, the method includes preparing a polyamic acid resin in the presence of a pigment dispersion including a blue-based inorganic pigment and a dispersing agent. In addition, an average particle size of the inorganic pigment in the pigment dispersion may be 10 to 100 nm.

Acrylic polyvinyl acetal films and composition

A film is described comprising a (meth)acrylic polymer and a polyvinyl acetal (e.g. butyral) resin. In some embodiments, the film has a glass transition temperature (i.e. Tg) ranging from 30° C. to 60° C. In some embodiments, the film has a gel content of at least 20% or greater. In some embodiments, the film has an elongation at break of at least 175%. The film typically comprises photoinitiator as a result of the method by which the film was made. The film may be a monolithic film or a layer of a multilayer film.

The polymer composition is also for use in other applications in which absorption of liquids is desired.

Graphene compositions

Compositions comprising graphene sheets, graphite, at least one binder, a carrier system. About 1 to about 50 weight percent of the carrier system comprises at least one of a cyclic imide and lactone. The graphene sheets consist of fully exfoliated single sheets of graphite. The ratio by weight of graphite to graphene sheets is from about 50:50 to about 85:15. The composition may be used as coatings and inks.

TONER HAVING SPECIAL SURFACE FEATURES AND METHOD TO MAKE THE SAME

The present disclosure relates to a polyester chemically produced toner composition including a core shell toner particle having special surface features and method to make the same. The special surface features on the outer surface of the core shell toner particle are created by the incorporation of a specially designed polymer latex having styrene and acrylate monomers into the core or shell of the toner particle wherein the polymer latex having styrene and acrylate monomers is tailored to be incompatible with the polyester resin(s) found in the core or the shell of the toner particle.

Hard coat laminated film and method for producing same

Embodiments provide a hard coat laminated film including a first hard coat, a second hard coat, and a transparent resin film layer in order from the outermost surface layer side, where the first hard coat is formed of a coating material containing no inorganic particles; the second hard coat is formed of a coating material containing inorganic particles; and the hard coat laminated film satisfies the following requirements: (i) the total light transmittance is 85% or more; and (ii) the pencil hardness of the surface of the first hard coat is 5H or higher.
