Method for producing styrene resin and styrene resin molded article
To provide a method for producing a styrene resin having a syndiotactic structure, including performing addition polymerization of one or more of a vinyl aromatic monomer in the presence of a catalyst containing a half metallocene transition metal compound (A) having at least one kind selected from metals of groups 3 to 5 of the periodic table and lanthanoid transition metals as a central metal, a compound (B) represented by the general formula (1), and a compound (C) selected from at least one kind of an oxygen-containing compound (c1) and a compound (c2) capable of forming an ionic complex through reaction with a transition metal compound, the styrene resin produced having a transition metal content derived from the half metallocene transition metal compound (A) of 1.5 to 12 ppm by mass.
Water-soluble solid or semi-solid dispersion of particles
Disclosed are solid or semisolid compositions the including finely divided particles and a water-soluble matrix that dissolves and disperses the particles when in contact with water. Also disclosed are kits for reducing and/or inhibiting odor formation on garment. The kit include one or more containers, wherein at least one of the one or more container includes solid or semisolid compositions the including finely divided particles and a water-soluble matrix that dissolves and disperses the particles when in contact with water. An edible silver delivery system including the compositions is disclosed as are methods of delivering silver to a subject in need thereof.
Bio-electrode composition, bio-electrode, and method for manufacturing a bio-electrode
The present invention provides a bio-electrode composition including (A) an ionic material and (C) a metal powder, wherein the component (A) is a polymer compound containing a repeating unit-a having a structure selected from the group consisting of an ammonium salt, a sodium salt, a potassium salt, and a silver salt of any of fluorosulfonic acid, fluorosulfonimide, and fluorosulfonamide. This can form a living body contact layer for a bio-electrode that is excellent in electric conductivity and biocompatibility, light-weight, manufacturable at low cost, and free from large lowering of the electric conductivity even though it is wetted with water or dried.
Blow Molding Polymers with Improved Cycle Time, Processability, and Surface Quality
Ethylene-based polymers having a density of 0.952 to 0.965 g/cm.sup.3, a high load melt index (HLMI) from 5 to 25 g/10 min, a weight-average molecular weight from 275,000 to 450,000 g/mol, a number-average molecular weight from 15,000 to 40,000 g/mol, a viscosity at HLMI from 1400 to 4000 Pa-sec, and a tangent delta at 0.1 sec.sup.−1 from 0.65 to 0.98 degrees. These polymers have the processability of chromium-based resins, but with improved stress crack resistance, and can be used in large-part blow molding applications.
Multilayer composites comprising adhesive and one or more nanofiber sheets
Techniques are disclosed for producing multilayered composites of adhesive nanofiber composites. Specifically, one or more sheets of highly aligned nanofibers are partially embedded in an adhesive such that at least a portion of the nanofiber sheet is free from adhesive and is available to conduct current with adjacent electrical features. In some example embodiments, the adhesive nanofiber composites are metallized with a conductive metal and in these and other embodiments, the adhesive nanofiber composites may also be stretchable.
