Provided is a resin composition used for forming a laminated glass interlayer film or a solar cell encapsulant, the resin composition including an ionomer (A) of an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid-based copolymer, wherein metal ions constituting the ionomer (A) of the ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid-based copolymer includes two or more kinds of polyvalent metal ions.
Process for preparing compounds for tyres and tyres comprising them
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a vulcanisable elastomeric compound for tyres, characterised by the use of a particular vulcanisation-activating filler and by the methods of adding additives, in particular the compatibilising agent (silane), which occurs only after completion of the reaction between the activating filler comprising zinc and the fatty acid (stearic acid). The present process, advantageous in itself due to the possible reduction of the times and of the energy required for vulcanisation, allows preparing compounds which, with the same performances compared to the traditional ones, can have a reduced zinc content, and consequently a lower release thereof from tyres during use at an environmental level.
Non-ablative multi-layer coatings that prevent water-derived damage, corrosion, and deterioration from biological chemical processes
Methods of protecting a surface include applying an inner polymer layer onto a surface. The inner polymer layer is impregnated with a biologically active chemical substance that protects the surface from biofouling-induced chemical, biological, and bio-proliferative damage. The inner polymer layer is an epoxy polymer. An outer polymer layer is applied onto the inner polymer layer. The outer polymer layer is impregnated with a biologically active chemical substance that protects the inner polymer layer from biofouling-induced chemical, biological, and bio-proliferative damage. The outer polymer layer is selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes and fluorourethanes.
Metal particle-containing composition and electrically conductive adhesive film
The present disclosure relates to a metal particle-containing composition contains at least one thermosetting resin (R), a hardening agent (H), and at least three types of metal particles (P) different from one another. The metal particles (P) contain a solder alloy particle (P1) containing a tin alloy containing at least one metal (A), wherein the metal (A) is a metal that forms a eutectic crystal with tin at a eutectic temperature of 200° C. or lower, at least one metal particle (P2) containing a metal (B) having a melting point exceeding 420° C. in a bulk, the metal particle (P2) having a melting point higher than a solidus temperature of the solder alloy particle (P1), and at least one metal particle (P3) containing a metal (C) that forms an intermetallic compound with a metal contained in the solder alloy particle (P1).
BIOCOMPATIBLE COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A BIOCOMPATIBLE THICKENING POLYMER AND A CHITOSAN DERIVATIVE
Biocompatible compositions, in particular for the preparation of a biodegradable coating for medical articles, include a biocompatible thickening polymer and a chitosan derivative comprising D-glucosamine units of the following formula (I):
##STR00001##
wherein X is an alditolic or aldonic polyol residue of the following formula (II):
##STR00002##
wherein: R is CH.sub.2 or CO; R1 is hydrogen, a monosaccharide moiety or an oligosaccharide moiety; R2 is OH or NHCOCH.sub.3.
The present invention also relates to uses of the disclosed compositions, to a kit of parts including a composition in powder form and to a method for the preparation of a biocompatible composition in gel form.
The biodegradable coating shows a good and long-lasting adhesion to the surface of a medical article and allows to improve both the coating operations and the effectiveness in preventing any biofilm formation on the medical article.
Conductive composites
Disclosed are conductive composites comprising a polymer, a conductor selected from metals and metal alloys, and a thickening agent.
Resin composition for acoustic matching layer, acoustic matching sheet, acoustic wave probe, acoustic wave measuring apparatus, method for manufacturing acoustic wave probe, and material set for acoustic matching layer
A resin composition for an acoustic matching layer; an acoustic matching sheet formed from the composition; an acoustic wave probe; an acoustic wave measuring apparatus; a method for manufacturing an acoustic wave probe; and a material set, for an acoustic matching layer, that is suitable for preparation of the composition, in which the resin composition for an acoustic matching layer includes a binder including a resin; and metal particles having a monodispersity of 40% to 80%, wherein the monodispersity is calculated by equation (1):
monodispersity (%)=(standard deviation of particle sizes of metal particles/average particle size of metal particles)×100.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPE
The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the present invention is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprising a photo-cured acrylic resin, a metal having a lower potential than that of iron, and an electroconductive material, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a total light transmittance X, per micrometer of the thickness, of 99.85% or less, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a total light transmittance Y of 6% or more. The present invention can provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having a great adhesive force on both the front side and the back side and having good sacrificial corrosion resistance.
