The present invention relates to a resin composition containing: 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin; 0.2 parts by weight to 2 parts by weight of an olefinic elastomer; 2 parts by weight to 5 parts by weight of a talc having an aspect ratio in a range of 35 to 60; 2 parts by weight to 5 parts by weight of a fibrous magnesium sulfate having an average fiber diameter of 0.1 μm to 2 μm and an average fiber length of 8 μm to 30 μm; and 0.01 parts by weight to 1 part by weight of a metallic soap that is at least one selected from the group consisting of a magnesium salt of a fatty acid and an aluminum salt of a fatty acid.

The rubber composition contains: a diene rubber including styrene-butadiene rubber; zinc dithiophosphate; an inorganic filler including at least one selected from the group consisting of: a compound of the formula: mM.xSiO.sub.y.zH.sub.2O wherein M represents at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Al, Mg, Ti, Ca, and Zr, or an oxide or hydroxide of the metal, m represents an integer of 1-5, x represents an integer of 0-10, y represents an integer of 2-5, and z represents an integer of 0-10; magnesium sulfate; and silicon carbide, and having a BET value of 5-120 m.sup.2/g and a linseed oil absorption of 30-80 mL/100 g; and sulfur, wherein, per 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber, there are 0.2-15 parts by mass of the zinc dithiophosphate, 1-70 parts by mass of the inorganic filler, and less than 2.5 parts by mass of zinc oxide.

A propylene-based resin composition containing components (A), (B), and (C) is provided. The content of (A) is 50 to 89 parts by weight, the content of (B) is 11 to 50 parts by weight, and the content of (C) is 0.05 to 1 part by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the total of (A) and (B). Component (A) is a propylene-based polymer, component (B) is a filler, and component (C) is a bis(3,4-dialkylbenzylidene)sorbitol represented by the formula (1) ##STR00001## In formula (1), R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. It is possible to produce a molded article which has high rigidity and in which the linear expansion coefficients in the MD and the TD are small from the composition.

The resin composition of the present invention includes a water-soluble resin (component A); and at least one selected from the group consisting of an inorganic salt and a polycyclic aromatic sulfonate (component B), the component A has a polycyclic aromatic monomer unit, the component B has a solubility in water at 25° C. of 1 g/100 g or more, and a content of the component B relative to 100 parts by mass of the component A is 1 part by mass or more and 40 parts by mass or less. According to the resin composition of the present invention, a resin composition that can be obtained by recycling and has improved heat resistance can be provided.
