This disclosure relates to ingredients which are added to liquid paint, or coated onto dried paint, to provide benefits beyond the usual characteristics of commonly available water-based paints. More specifically, the disclosed chemistry changes the properties of the film created after application of the paint making the film harder and having anti-static properties.

Thermoplastic Resin Composition and Molded Article Produced Therefrom

A thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention is characterized by containing: about 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin including rubber-modified vinyl-based graft copolymer and aromatic vinyl-based copolymer resins; about 10-50 parts by weight of a flame retardant other than a phosphorus-based compound; about 1.5-3.5 parts by weight of zinc oxide particles having an average particle size of about 0.2-3 μm and a BET specific surface area of about 1-10 m.sup.2/g; and about 2.5-6.5 parts by weight of sodium phosphate. The thermoplastic resin composition has excellent antibacterial properties, flame retardant properties, and impact resistance properties.

TACTILE PLAY COMPOUND WITH 3D STEREOSCOPIC ILLUSIONS
20220047962 · 2022-02-17 ·

A play compound includes additives, which when viewed with 3D glasses, elicit three-dimensional stereoscopic illusions. To present stereoscopic images, the additives in the play compound are viewed through different polarizing filters of low-cost eyeglasses worn by a viewer. As each filter passes only that light which is similarly polarized and blocks the light polarized in the opposite direction, each eye sees a different image. This is used to produce a three-dimensional effect by projecting the same scene into both eyes but depicted from slightly different perspectives. Multiple persons can view the stereoscopic images at the same time.

STABILIZED COMPOSITIONS OF POLYCARBONATES AND VINYLIDENE SUBSTITUTED AROMATIC COMPOUNDS
20220267585 · 2022-08-25 ·

A composition comprising: one or more polycarbonates; one or more vinylidene aromatic substituted polymers; and a buffer system that controls the pH in water at 25° C. at a value of about 6.0 to about 8.0. The composition may comprise the buffer system that has a pKa between about 4 and about 10. The composition may comprise: from about 10 or 50 to about 95 percent by weight of the one or more polycarbonates; from about 0.5 or about 10 to about 50 or about 90 percent by weight of the one or more vinylidene aromatic substituted monomers; and from about 0.005 percent to about 0.050 percent by weight of the buffer system; wherein weight is based on the total weight of the composition. The buffer system may be present in an amount from about 0.010 percent to about 0.040 percent by weight.

POLYESTER FILM INCORPORATING SILICONE FOR RELEASE OF CANNED MEAT PRODUCTS

Embodiments herein relates to a Bisphenol A-free multi-layer biaxially oriented polyester (BOPET) film, for lamination on metal sheets, which could be used for food containers. The BOPET film has at least one outer release layer, which aids in the release of food, such as a high protein food source, when food is cooked and sterilized in direct contact with the outer release layer. The BOPET film can be laminated to metals used in the manufacture of food containers with the outer release layer being exposed to allow a direct food contact between the surface of the outer release layer and food. More particularly, the invention relates to a novel outer release layer resin composition comprising an ultra high molecular weight siloxane polymer and a polyethylene trephthalate resin; and an alkali-metal phosphate and a phosphoric acid compound added, during polymerization of the outer release layer resin composition, as a catalyst/additive package to the ingredients forming the outer release layer resin composition. A wax component is added in the outer release layer, for more robust release performance.

VINYL-BASED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF AND VINYL-BASED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MANUFACTURED THEREFROM (AS AMENDED)

The present invention relates to vinyl-based thermoplastic resin composition having excellent thermal stability, which comprises a metal complex agent, and a first vinyl-based monomer and a second vinyl-based monomer having different iron ion concentration from each other, a method for manufacturing thereof, and vinyl-based thermoplastic resin manufactured therefrom. The accompanying vinyl-based thermoplastic resin composition can enhance thermal stability, and the vinyl-based thermoplastic resin manufactured from the composition may have excellent thermal stability. Thus, it can be easily applied to industries requiring thereof, in particular, industries of vinyl-based thermoplastic resin and its mold processed goods.

FLUOROPOLYMER COMPOSITION STABILIZED AGAINST CHANGES IN PH
20220041837 · 2022-02-10 ·

The present invention relates to a composition comprising particles of at least one 1,1-difluoroethylene (VDF)-based fluoropolymer, in admixture with a stabilizer agent selected from alkaline metal hydrogencarbonates or hydrogenphosphates, and to uses of said composition notably in electrochemical cells.

POLYCARBONATE ALLOY AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND APPLICATION

The present invention provides a polycarbonate alloy including the following components in parts by weight: 50 parts to 80 parts of a polycarbonate; 1 part to 50 parts of a crystalline polyester; 0.01 part to 4 parts of a maleic anhydride polymer; and 0.01 part to 4 parts of a metal phosphate. The polycarbonate alloy of the present invention has advantages of good alloy stability, and a continuous and uniform distribution of the crystalline polyester in the alloy.
