A polymer composition including: at least one polymer ingredient selected from the group consisting of a polymer (A) having a side chain (a) containing a hydrogen-bonding cross-linking moiety with a carbonyl-containing group and/or a nitrogen-containing heterocycle and having a glass transition point of 25° C. or lower, and a polymer (B) containing a hydrogen-bonding cross-linking moiety and a covalent-bonding cross-linking moiety in a side chain and having a glass transition point of 25° C. or lower, wherein both the polymer (A) and the polymer (B) are a reaction product of a cross-linking agent with a maleic anhydride graft-modified thermoplastic polymer having a melting point of 64° C. or lower and a maleation rate of 0.1 to 3.0% by mass, and a type A durometer hardness measured under a temperature condition of 20±5° C. according to JIS K6253-3: 2012 is 0 to 49.

Polypropylene based composition with improved paint ability

The present invention relates to a polypropylene based composition comprising: (A) from 40.0 to 85.0 wt % of a heterophasic propylene copolymer having a content of xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction in the range of 15 wt % to 35 wt %, based on the total weight of the heterophasic propylene copolymer; (B) from 5.0 to 15.0 wt % of a terpolymer of propylene with ethylene and 1-butene comonomer units having a melting temperature Tm as measured in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of less than 140° C.; (C) from 5.0 to 25.0 wt % of an ethylene copolymer with alpha-olefin comonomer units having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms with a density of from 850 kg/m.sup.3 to 900 kg/m.sup.3; and (D) from 5.0 to 25.0 wt % of an inorganic filler, wherein the amounts of components (A), (B), (C), and (D) are all based on the total weight amount of the polypropylene based composition, said polypropylene based composition having a melt flow rate (MFR2) as measured at 230° C. and 2.16 kg load in accordance with ISO 1133 in the range of 2.0 g/10 min to 20 g/10 min, an article comprising said polypropylene based composition and the use of said terpolymer (B) for reducing the paint adhesion failure of an article comprising said polypropylene based composition.

Polypropylene based composition with improved paint ability

The present invention relates to a polypropylene based composition comprising: (A) from 40.0 to 85.0 wt % of a heterophasic propylene copolymer having a content of xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction in the range of 15 wt % to 35 wt %, based on the total weight of the heterophasic propylene copolymer; (B) from 5.0 to 15.0 wt % of a terpolymer of propylene with ethylene and 1-butene comonomer units having a melting temperature Tm as measured in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of less than 140° C.; (C) from 5.0 to 25.0 wt % of an ethylene copolymer with alpha-olefin comonomer units having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms with a density of from 850 kg/m.sup.3 to 900 kg/m.sup.3; and (D) from 5.0 to 25.0 wt % of an inorganic filler, wherein the amounts of components (A), (B), (C), and (D) are all based on the total weight amount of the polypropylene based composition, said polypropylene based composition having a melt flow rate (MFR2) as measured at 230° C. and 2.16 kg load in accordance with ISO 1133 in the range of 2.0 g/10 min to 20 g/10 min, an article comprising said polypropylene based composition and the use of said terpolymer (B) for reducing the paint adhesion failure of an article comprising said polypropylene based composition.

MIXTURES OF BITUMEN AND POLYMER COMPOSITIONS

A mixture made from or containing T1) from 99 wt % to 75 wt % of bitumen, and T2) from 1 wt % to 25 wt % of a polymer composition made from or containing A) 5-35% by weight of a propylene ethylene copolymer; B) 20-50% by weight of an ethylene homopolymer; and C) 30-60% by weight of a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and 1-butene derived units.

Roofing membranes, compositions, and methods of making the same

A roofing membrane and a method of making the same is provided. The roofing membrane includes a top layer having a flame retardant and a first silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer with a density less than 0.90 g/cm.sup.3; a scrim layer; and a bottom layer having a flame retardant and a second silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer with a density less than 0.90 g/cm.sup.3. The top and bottom layers of the roofing membrane both exhibit a compression set of from about 5.0% to about 35.0%, as measured according to ASTM D 395 (22 hrs @ 70° C.).

Roofing membranes, compositions, and methods of making the same

A roofing membrane and a method of making the same is provided. The roofing membrane includes a top layer having a flame retardant and a first silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer with a density less than 0.90 g/cm.sup.3; a scrim layer; and a bottom layer having a flame retardant and a second silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer with a density less than 0.90 g/cm.sup.3. The top and bottom layers of the roofing membrane both exhibit a compression set of from about 5.0% to about 35.0%, as measured according to ASTM D 395 (22 hrs @ 70° C.).
