A resin sheet of the present invention is a checker glass-like resin sheet made of a transparent thermoplastic resin, and includes a plurality of sectional arch-shaped elongated protrusions extending in one direction are regularly arranged in rows on, one surface of the resin sheet; and a plurality of sectional arch-shaped elongated protrusions extending in a direction perpendicular to the protrusions arranged on the one surface are regularly arranged in rows, on another surface of the resin sheet, in which an arithmetic average waviness (Wa) at a vertex of the protrusion in a direction in which the protrusion extends is 20 μm or less on both surfaces of the resin sheet. Accordingly, there is provided a resin sheet that can be used as an alternative to checker glass and has a certain degree of visibility from a short distance while having a shielding property from a long distance.

POLYETHYLENE COPOLYMER BLEND

A polyethylene copolymer blend consisting essentially of (A) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester bipolymer and (B) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester/carbon monoxide terpolymer. The polyethylene copolymer blend is defined by constituents (A) and (B) and at least one omitted material that would have otherwise restricted a physical property of the blend. The (A) ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester bipolymer is defined by features comprising choice of unsaturated carboxylic ester, unsaturated carboxylic ester comonomeric content in weight percent (wt %), and bipolymer melt index (I.sub.2; 190° C., 2.16 kg) in grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min.). The (B) ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester/carbon monoxide terpolymer is defined by features comprising choice of unsaturated carboxylic ester, unsaturated carboxylic ester comonomeric content in wt %, carbon monoxide comonomeric content in wt %, and terpolymer melt index (I.sub.2; 190° C., 2.16 kg) in g/10 min. Also formulations, cured polymer products, strippable semiconductive insulation shield layers, coated conductors, methods of making and using same.

FUNCTIONALIZED PROCESS AID BLENDS FOR CELLULAR PVC
20220403155 · 2022-12-22 ·

A method of reducing foamed density that results in a foamed polyvinyl chloride (PVC) component exhibiting reduced density. The foamed PVC component contains at least a PVC resin and a process aid blend. The process aid blend contains from 1 weight % to 60 weight % (based on the weight of the blend) of a functionalized process aid, and from 99 weight % to 40 weight % (based on the weight of the blend) of a non-functionalized process aid. The functionalized process aid includes at least one base polymer functionalized with a reactive epoxy, hydroxyl, β-keto ester, β-keto amide, or carboxylic acid functional group. The foamed PVC component containing the process aid blend has a lower density than a reference foamed PVC component made using the same process conditions and additives, but which contains only non-functionalized process aid and not the functionalized process aid.
