A resin composition includes 80 parts by weight to 160 parts by weight of a vinyl-containing resin, 0.1 part by weight to 1.0 part by weight of a first compound and 0.1 part by weight to 2.0 parts by weight of a second compound; wherein the vinyl-containing resin includes a vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin, a maleimide resin, a bis(vinylphenyl)ethane, a triallyl isocyanurate, a vinyl-containing polyolefin resin or a combination thereof, the first compound includes a structure of Formula (1) to Formula (3) or a combination thereof, and the second compound includes a structure of Formula (4) to Formula (6) or a combination thereof. Moreover, an article may be made from the resin composition, including a prepreg, a resin film, a laminate or a printed circuit board.

A phosphorus-containing silane compound has a structure of SiR.sub.1(R.sub.2).sub.n(R.sub.3).sub.3-n, wherein R.sub.1 is a phenyl group, R.sub.2 is a vinyl group, R.sub.3 each independently is a structure of Formula (I) or Formula (II), and n is 1 or 2. Moreover, a method of making the phosphorus-containing silane compound, a resin composition including the phosphorus-containing silane compound and a resin additive and an article made from the resin composition are described. The article includes a prepreg, a resin film, a laminate or a printed circuit board, wherein one or more properties including Z-axis ratio of thermal expansion, copper foil peeling strength, inner resin flow, branch-like pattern, dielectric constant, dissipation factor and flame retardancy may be improved. ##STR00001##

A phosphorus-containing silane compound has a structure of SiR.sub.1(R.sub.2).sub.n(R.sub.3).sub.3-n, wherein R.sub.1 is a phenyl group, R.sub.2 is a vinyl group, R.sub.3 each independently is a structure of Formula (I) or Formula (II), and n is 1 or 2. The present invention provides a resin composition comprising maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin and article made therefrom. The resin composition comprises: 100 weight parts of vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin; 35 to 45 weight parts of bis(vinylphenyl)ethane; and 30 to 60 weight parts of maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin; wherein the maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin is obtained by pre-polymerization of aromatic maleimide resin and long chain maleimide resin. The articles made from the resin composition improve at least one characteristic of glass transition temperature variation, copper foil peeling strength, percentage of thermal expansion, coefficient of thermal expansion and surface appearance.

The present invention provides a resin composition comprising maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin and article made therefrom. The resin composition comprises: 100 weight parts of vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin; 35 to 45 weight parts of bis(vinylphenyl)ethane; and 30 to 60 weight parts of maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin; wherein the maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin is obtained by pre-polymerization of aromatic maleimide resin and long chain maleimide resin. Provided is a heat-curable maleimide resin composition capable of yielding a cured product having excellent dielectric properties even in the high-frequency region, a low water absorption rate, and a high glass-transition temperature. The heat-curable maleimide resin composition contains: (A) two or more kinds of maleimide compound having at least one dimer acid frame-derived hydrocarbon group per molecule; and (B) a reaction initiator, wherein a cured product of the heat-curable maleimide resin composition has a dielectric tangent of not larger than 0.003 both at 10 GHz and 40 GHz.

A benzoxazine resin composition is provided. The benzoxazine resin composition includes a benzoxazine resin that is a reaction product of an amine, a phenol, and an aldehyde. Either the amine is a diamine or the phenol is a bisphenol, and the benzoxazine resin has at least one nitrogen-containing crosslinking functional group or pyrocitric functional group. A method of preparing a benzoxazine resin composition is also provided. The method includes reacting an amine, a phenol, and an aldehyde at a temperature of above 60° C., for 1 h to 5 days to form a benzoxazine resin. The benzoxazine resin has at least one nitrogen-containing crosslinking functional group or pyrocitric functional group, and either the amine is a diamine or the phenol is a bisphenol. Also provided is a cured resin made from the benzoxazine resin composition.
