Polyamide-based composition, article obtained therefrom, and uses thereof
The invention relates to a composition comprising at least one first polyamide, conforming to the formula MXD.Math.10 or MXD.Math.10/Z and having a melting temperature Tf.sub.1, and at least one second polyamide. Said at least second polyamide has a melting temperature Tf.sub.2 such that Tf.sub.1−40° C.≤Tf.sub.2<Tf.sub.1+20° C. The invention likewise relates to an article obtained from such a composition, to a method of shaping such an article, and to the use of such a composition and of such an article.

A method for manufacturing a patterned polyimide aerogel film on a substrate includes: dispensing a polyimide prepolymer sol onto a first portion of a surface of a substrate, a second portion of the surface of the substrate being substantially free of the polyimide prepolymer sol; forming a patterned film of a polyimide prepolymer gel on the substrate from the polyimide prepolymer sol; drying the polyimide prepolymer gel to form a patterned film of a polyimide prepolymer aerogel on the substrate; and curing the polyimide prepolymer aerogel on the substrate to form the patterned polyimide aerogel film on the first portion of the surface of the substrate, the second portion of the surface of the substrate being substantially free of the patterned polyimide aerogel film.

Photochromic polyurethane laminate
A photochromic polyurethane laminate that is constructed to solve certain manufacturing difficulties involved in the production of plastic photochromic lenses is disclosed. The photochromic laminate includes at least two layers of a resinous material and a photochromic polyurethane layer that is interspersed between the two resinous layers and which contains photochromic compounds. The polyurethane layer is formed by curing a mixture of a solid thermoplastic polyurethane, at least one isocyanate prepolymer, at least one photochromic compound, and a stabilizing system.
Photochromic polyurethane laminate
A photochromic polyurethane laminate that is constructed to solve certain manufacturing difficulties involved in the production of plastic photochromic lenses is disclosed. The photochromic laminate includes at least two layers of a resinous material and a photochromic polyurethane layer that is interspersed between the two resinous layers and which contains photochromic compounds. The polyurethane layer is formed by curing a mixture of a solid thermoplastic polyurethane, at least one isocyanate prepolymer, at least one photochromic compound, and a stabilizing system.

The present invention relates to a copolyamide comprising at least two units and corresponding to the following general formula:

in which: the diamine is a cycloaliphatic diamine, w represents the number of carbon atoms of the diacid, A is chosen from a unit obtained from an amino acid or from a lactam and a unit corresponding to the formula (Cx diamine).Math.(Cy diacid), with x representing the number of carbon atoms of the diamine and y representing the number of carbon atoms of the diacid,
and in which at least one of the monomers chosen from A and the Cw diacid is obtained, in all or part, from renewable starting materials according to Standard ASTM D6866. The invention also relates to a composition comprising this copolyamide and to the use of this copolyamide and of such a composition.
