Coating liquid, laminated porous film, and method for producing laminated porous film
The present invention provides a coating liquid, a laminated porous film and a method for producing a laminated porous film. The coating liquid comprises a binder resin, a filler and a medium, wherein the filler is a mixture comprising (a) a filler having a specific surface area of not less than 7 m.sup.2/g and not more than 80 m.sup.2/g and (b) a filler having a specific surface area of not less than 3 m.sup.2/g and not more than 6 m.sup.2/g in a filler (a) to filler (b) weight ratio of from 5:95 to 40:60. The laminated porous film is a laminated porous film in which a heat-resistant layer is laminated on one or both of the surfaces of a porous film substrate, wherein the heat-resistant layer is a heat-resistant layer formed by removing the medium from the coating liquid.
Suspension for preserving masonry structures for consolidation, weather-resistance, water-repellent, stain-resistance, fungal-resistance and self-cleaning, and a method for applying the suspension on porous surfaces of structures, especially on historical building materials
A suspension for preserving masonry structures comprises a hydrophobic agent, water-repellent nanoparticles, a nanofiller, a self-cleaning agent, a vegetable oil, a first solvent and water. The water-repellent nanoparticles, the hydrophobic agent, the nanofiller, the self-cleaning agent and the vegetable oil are mixed with the first solvent and water, and are dispersed in a form of a nanocomposite suspension. A method for preserving masonry structures, especially surfaces of historical building materials as a substrate by using a multi-functional nanocomposite suspension, to increase the structures' life, improving weather-resistance and/or water-repellent and/or stain-resistance and/or fungal-resistance and/or self-cleaning. The suspension is prepared by mixing a water-repellent nanoparticles, at least one silicon-based hydrophobic polymer as a hydrophobic agent, a nanofiller, and/or a nano-additive as a self-cleaning agent, a vegetable oil, a first solvent and water. An ultrasonic homogenizer is used to disperse the nanoparticles onto the nanocomposite suspension consisting of nanoparticles.
USE OF POLYMER DISPERSIONS IN WATERBORNE COATING FORMULATIONS AND POLYMER DISPERSIONS THEREFOR
The present invention relates to the use of aqueous polymer dispersions of a polymer P obtainable by emulsion polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers M in the presence of at least one anionic emulsifier as binders in a waterborne coating formulation having a pH of at least pH 9.5. The polymer dispersion is an aqueous polymer dispersion of a polymer P obtainable by emulsion polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers M in the presence of at least one anionic emulsifier, where the monomers M comprise or consist of the following monomers M1, M2 and optionally M3 and/or M4 a) 90 to 99.9% by weight, based on the total weight of monomers M, of monomers M1 selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1-C.sub.20 alkylesters of acrylic acid, C.sub.1-C.sub.20 alkylesters of methacrylic acid, C.sub.5-C.sub.20 cycloalkylesters of acrylic acid, C.sub.5-C.sub.20 cycloalkylesters of methacrylic acid, and monovinylaromatic monomers, where the relative amount of monovinylaromatic monomers does not exceed 15% by weight, based on the total weight of monomers M; b) 0.1 to 5% by weight, based on the total weight of monomers M, of monomers M2 selected from monoethylenically unsaturated monomers bearing at least one carboxyl group; c) 0 to 2% by weight, based on the total weight of monomers M, of one or more monoethylenically unsaturated monomers M3 bearing at least one sulfate or sulfate group; and d) 0 to 5% by weight or less than 0.5% by weight, based on the total weight of monomers M, of one or more ethylenically unsaturated non-ionic monomers M4 different from the monomers M1, M2 and M3; 25 whereby the emulsion polymerization is carried out in the presence of a base in such an amount sufficient to neutralize more than 20 mol-%, in particular at least or more than 25 mol-% and especially at least 30 mol-% of the carboxyl groups of all monomers M2.
FOULING RELEASE COATING COMPOSITION
The invention provides a waterborne fouling release coating composition comprising (a) an aqueous polysiloxane-based binder emulsion, wherein said emulsion comprises polysiloxane-based binder droplets having an average droplet size of 4 to 1000 n; and (b) at least one pigment or filler; wherein the coating composition comprises at least 10 wt % water relative to the total weight of L the composition as a whole.
Copolymerized polyester and water dispersion
The present invention aims to provide a copolymerized polyester and a resin composition which are excellent in storage stability, water-resistant adhesion, processability, weathering resistance and leveling property. According to the present invention, there is provided a copolymerized polyester containing a polyvalent carboxylic acid component and a polyhydric alcohol component as copolymerization components, wherein, when a content of the polyvalent carboxylic acid component is taken as 100% by mole, a content of an alicyclic polyvalent carboxylic acid component is 50% by mole or more, and wherein the copolymerized polyester has an acid value of 170 to 1000 equivalents/10.sup.6 g.
Emulsion type paint
Buildings surfaces are often seen subjected to application of heat insulation paint. When the surface of buildings gets dirty, reflectivity of the light lowers, so that the surface of buildings is likely to adsorb heat, resulting in lowering of the heat insulation effect. The present invention has such object of providing a paint that the tasks of prevention of getting dirty and provision of heat insulation are achieved, decomposition of resin is much lowered, and applying the paint is readily carried out. An emulsion type paint comprising: an organic hollow balloon A having on the surface photo-catalyst minute particles stuck by heat fusion, an organic hollow balloon B having on the surface minute particles other than photo-catalyst stuck by the similar manner, and an organic resin, colloidal silica, and water, characterized in that the organic hollow balloon B is higher in specific gravity than the organic hollow balloon A.
UVC reflective coating
The present disclosure provides an ultraviolet light-C (UVC) reflective coating composition. The UVC reflective coating includes a polymer binder of a first volume having a first refractive index and an inorganic material of a second volume having a second refractive index at least 0.2 greater than the first refractive index, the second volume in ratio to the first volume such that the reflective coating is at or below critical pigment volume concentration (CVPC) (CPVC), wherein the reflective coating is configured to diffusely reflect at least 10% UVC.

R is a C.sub.3 to C.sub.6 alkylene radical and n is selected accordingly such that the polyether (b) possesses a number-average molecular weight of 200 to 4000 g/mol, where components (a) and (b) are used in the reaction in a molar ratio of 0.7/2.3 to 1.6/1.7 and the resulting reaction product possesses a number-average molecular weight of 500 to 15 000 g/mol and an acid number of 10 to 120 mg KOH/g.

Paint dispersion
The invention relates to a method of providing an aqueous paint dispersion comprising silanized colloidal silica particles and an acrylate-based binder wherein the weight ratio of SiO.sub.2 to acrylate-based binder on a dry basis ranges from 0.02 to 0.2, and wherein the content of SiO.sub.2, measured by XRF, in said dispersion ranges from 1.05 to 7.5 wt %, wherein silane groups present in the silanized colloidal silica particles are derived from silanes containing an epoxy group, glycidoxy group, glycidoxypropyl group, ureido-based silanes, methacrylamido silanes, mercapto silanes, and combinations thereof. The invention also relates to the use thereof.
