AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION FOR APPLYING A BASECOAT FILM, COMPRISING A MIXTURE OF A POLYESTER AND A POLYAMIDE WITH LOW ACID NUMBER AS RHEOLOGICAL ASSISTANT
The present invention relates to an aqueous coating composition comprising at least one mixture (M) of at least one polymeric resin (P1) and at least one polymeric resin (P2), different therefrom, where (P1) is a polyamide and (P2) is a polyester which is at least obtainable by reaction of at least one polymerized aliphatic C.sub.12-C.sub.24-monocarboxylic acid with at least one diol and/or polyol, at least one binder (A) comprising at least one polymeric resin (A1), which is different from the polymeric resins (P1) and (P2), at least one pigment (B), where the polyamide used as polymeric resin (P1) has an acid number <10 mg of KOH per g of polyamide and the mixture (M) is obtainable by dispersing of the polymeric resin (P1) in water or an aqueous medium in the presence of the polymeric resin (P2), to a method for at least partly coating a substrate with a basecoat film by means of the aqueous coating composition, and to a use of the mixture (M) as a rheological assistant in aqueous coating compositions.
AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF A POLYESTER AND A POLYAMIDE OF LOW ACID NUMBER AND COATING COMPOSITION COMPRISING SAME FOR APPLYING A BASECOAT
The present invention relates to an aqueous dispersion (P) comprising at least one polymeric resin (P1) and at least one polymeric resin (P2) different therefrom, where the polymeric resin (P1) is a polyamide and the polymeric resin (P2) is a polyester which is at least obtainable by reaction of at least one polymerized aliphatic C.sub.12-C.sub.24 monocarboxylic acid with at least one diol and/or polyol, (P) being obtainable by dispersing of (P1) in water or an aqueous medium in the presence of (P2), and where (P1) has an acid number <10 mg of KOH per g of polyamide, and (P) contains at most 25 wt %, based on the total weight of (P), of one or more organic solvents, and also to an aqueous coating composition comprising (P), at least one binder (A) comprising at least one polymeric resin (A1), which is different from the polymeric resins (P1) and (P2), and at least one pigment (B) for at least partly coating a substrate with a basecoat film.
SOLVENT BASED SPRAYABLE STRIPPABLE COATING
The present invention discloses a composition which uses bio-based, biodegradable film formers to provide a durable strippable coating. The coating includes a film former configured to form a continuous film on the substrate. The coating includes a solvent, wherein the solvent is configured to result an easy application of the substance on the substrate. The coating includes one or more additives. The one or more additives include a plasticizer to improve flexibility of the film. The one or more additives include a release agent configured to reduce adhesion of the coating on the substrate. The one or additives a thickener configured for adjusting a viscosity and of the coating.

SUSPENSIONS INCLUDING CELLULOSE NANOFIBRIL AND POLYESTER
Suspensions can include a polar solvent, sulfonated polyester material dispersed in the polar solvent, and cellulose nanofibril material dispersed in the polar solvent. A paint composition contains (A) a binder component, (B) a first rheology control agent, and (C) a second rheology control agent, wherein the first rheology control agent (B) is a non-aqueous dispersion resin (b); the second rheology control agent (C) contains a reaction product of (c1) a polyisocyanate compound, (c2) a primary monoamine having a number average molecular weight of 300 or less, and (c3) a polyether amine having two or more amino groups and having a number average molecular weight of 1000 or more and less than 6000; and the proportion of the polyether amine having two or more amino groups and having a number average molecular weight of 1000 or more and less than 6000 (c3) is within the range of 10 to 30 mass % based on the total amount of the components (c1) to (c3).

An aqueous dispersion can be used to prepare a lacquer preparation. The aqueous dispersion includes silicon dioxide and at least one of 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,6-hexamethylenediamine and 2,4,4-trimethyl-1,6-hexamethylenediamine.
