The present invention relates to a composition for forming a coating layer having a self-healing property which enables the provision of a film exhibiting further improved mechanical properties together with excellent self-healing properties by being applied to the exterior of various household appliances or display devices, etc., a coating layer and a film. The composition for forming a coating layer having a self-healing property comprises: a poly(C.sub.2-4 alkylene glycol)-modified polyfunctional urethane (meth)acrylate-based binder; a bifunctional or higher polyfunctional (meth)acrylate-based compound; a UV initiator; and a silica nanoparticle, wherein the binder has a trifunctional or higher urethane bond and each poly(C.sub.2-4 alkylene glycol)-modified (meth)acrylate-based compound is bound to the urethane bond in the binder, and at least two poly(C.sub.2-4 alkylene glycol)-modified (meth)acrylate-based compounds bound to each urethane bond include poly(C.sub.2-4 alkylene glycol) repeating units whose numbers of repetitions are different from each other.

A method of producing the film, comprising: forming a paint into a film by applying the paint onto a substrate, the paint containing hollow particles, a binder, and a solvent, in which a content of the particles is 50-85 wt % and a content of the binder is 15-40 wt % with respect to a total weight of a solid content of the paint, and the paint has a viscosity of 1.3-2 mPa.Math.s at its film-forming temperature; and drying the film.

The present disclosure pertains to coatings with self-repairing capabilities. In some embodiments, the coatings may include a polymer blend, made up of at least two polymers. The coatings may further contain compatibilizers that are nanocontainer particles. The nanocontainers may be filled with self-healing agents. The self-healing agents may be agents that heal cracks formed in the coating or they may be anti-corrosion agents that reduce the corrosion of the underlying metal substrate.

The object of the present invention is to provide a composition for a laminated coating film having designability to a coated body and weather resistance. The present invention provides a composition for a laminated coating film, comprising silicon oxide-coated iron oxide particles, wherein at least a part of the surface of said iron oxide particles is coated with silicon oxide, wherein the diameter of said iron oxide particles is 1 to 50 nm, and wherein the average reflectivity of said silicon oxide-coated iron oxide particles for the light of the wavelengths of 620 to 750 nm is 25% or less. It is preferable that the transmittance of the dispersion comprising said silicon oxide-coated iron oxide particles for the light of the wavelength of 200 to 420 nm is 2.0% or less, and the transmittance of the same for the light of the wavelength of 620 to 780 nm is 80% or more.

Oxidation-resistant conductive copper paste, method for preparation thereof and method for manufacturing conductive film

The present invention discloses an oxidation-resistant conductive copper past, a manufacturing method and a use thereof. The oxidation-resistant conductive copper paste comprises 70 wt % to 90 wt % of copper particles, a binder, a thixotropic agent and a solvent. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of mixing the binder, the thixotropic agent and ethanol thoroughly to obtain a first mixture; mixing the solvent with the first mixture thoroughly to obtain a second mixture; mixing the copper particles with the second mixture to obtain a conductive copper paste precursor; and removing the ethanol from the conductive copper paste precursor to obtain the oxidation-resistant conductive copper paste. The oxidation-resistant conductive copper paste can be used for manufacturing a conductive film of a circuit board or an electrode of a solar battery by a printing process.

Anisotropic icephobic and biocidal coatings

Articles including durable and icephobic and/or biocidal polymeric coatings are disclosed. The polymeric coatings can include a bonding layer which may contain a substantially fully cured polymeric resin providing excellent adhesion to metallic or polymer substrates. The polymeric coating further includes an outer surface layer which is smooth, hydrophobic, biocidal and icephobic and, in addition to a substantially fully cured resin, contains silicone comprising additives near the exposed outer surface. The anisotropic polymeric coatings are particularly suited for strong and lightweight parts required in aerospace, automotive and sporting goods to applications. A process for making the articles is disclosed as well.
