BIOCIDAL INFUSED COMPOSITE FABRIC FOR CABIN INTERIORS
A biocidal composite wall or surface fabric installable within an aircraft cabin or other vehicle interior space includes a flexible woven layer. The woven layer is treated on its outer surface with a biocidal polymer coating. For example, the polymer coating may incorporate biocidal microcapsules or nanocapsules configured for controlled release of biocidal compounds in response to physical contact or other stimuli. The released biocidal compounds compromise or kill microbial compounds deposited on the outer surface, e.g., via physical contact by passengers or crewmembers. The woven layer includes additional biocidal molecules incorporated into its fibers and strands, the biocidal molecules capable of biocidal action in response to contact with the fabric.

Metal oxide particles and method of producing the same
A method of producing efficiently and stably core-shell type oxide particles, wherein the entire surface of the core oxide particles is uniformly coated with the shell oxide, includes at least two steps of: Step 1 of precipitating the core oxide particles in a mixed fluid prepared by mixing an oxide raw material liquid for core and an oxide precipitation solvent and Step 2 of coating the entire surface of the core oxide particles uniformly with the shell oxide by mixing the mixed fluid and an oxide raw material liquid for shell. (A) At least Steps 1 and 2 are performed continuously between at least two processing surfaces 1 and 2 which are capable of approaching to and separating from each other, at least one of which rotates relatively to the other; (B) after Step 1, Step 2 is completed within a prescribed time during which the core oxide particles do not aggregate in the mixed fluid; or (C) Step 1 and Step 2 are controlled so that the primary particle diameter of the core-shell type oxide particles is 190% or less relative to the primary particle diameter of the core oxide particles.
Red Paint for Ceramic Decoration
The present invention provides a red paint for ceramic decoration, including a glass matrix, and a red colorant and a protective material that are intermingled in the glass matrix. The red colorant contains gold nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles. The protective material contains silica nanoparticles.
VINYL-MODIFIED FLUOROCARBON RESIN AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, AND CORROSION RESISTANT COATING AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
A method for preparing a vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin comprises mixing a fluorine-containing vinyl monomer, an initiator, and a tetrafluoroethylene monomer in a gas phase to carry out an addition reaction so as to obtain the vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin. The fluorine-containing vinyl monomer is grafted onto tetrafluoroethylene, resulting in a vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin which is highly resistant to strong acids and bases as well as weathering. The corrosion resistant coating prepared by using the resin as a base resin also has high resistances to strong acids and bases as well as weathering.
Process for preparing a dichromatic material in the form of a film
The invention relates to a process for preparing a dichromatic material, in the form of a translucent film, comprising monodisperse nanoparticles formed of gold and optionally of a noble metal chosen from platinum, palladium, silver and copper, and at least one organic macromolecule chosen from proteins, polysaccharides and synthetic polymers; said dichromatic material; and the uses thereof.
FILMS WITH A PRIMER LAYER CONTAINING SILICA NANOPARTICLES MODIFIED BY AN ORGANIC SILANE
A film including: an organic polymeric substrate having a first major surface and a second major surface; an optional acrylic hardcoat layer disposed on the first major surface of the substrate; a siliceous primer layer disposed on the organic polymeric substrate or on the optional acrylic hardcoat layer, wherein the siliceous primer layer includes silica nanoparticles modified by an organic silane; and a superhydrophilic surface layer disposed on the siliceous primer layer, wherein the superhydrophilic surface layer includes hydrophilic-functional groups.
SOLVENTS AND SLURRIES COMPRISING A POLY(CARBOXYLIC ACID) BINDER FOR SILICON ELECTRODE MANUFACTURE
A binder solution for manufacturing silicon-based anodes useful for lithium-ion electrochemical cells is described herein. The binder solution comprises a poly(carboxylic acid) binder dissolved in a mixed solvent system comprising an amide solvent of Formula I, as described herein, and a second solvent which can be water and/or an organic solvent. The binder preferably comprises poly(acrylic acid). The mixed solvent system comprises about 10 to about 99 vol % of the amide solvent of Formula I. The binder solution is utilized as a solvent for a slurry of silicon-containing particles for preparing a silicon-containing electrode. The slurries made with the mixed solvent systems have higher viscosity and are more stable than slurries containing the same concentrations of silicon particle, carbon particles, and binder in water as the sole solvent.
OVER-LAMINATE FILM AND GRAPHIC LAMINATE
An over-laminate film applied to a decorative surface is described. In particular the over-laminate film includes: a transparent resin base film having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a low gloss layer disposed on the first surface of the transparent resin base film; and a transparent adhesive layer disposed on the second surface of the transparent resin base film, the low gloss layer including a binder containing a resin, resin beads having an average particle size of 4 μm or greater and 20 μm or less, and nanosilica particles, the low gloss layer having surface glossiness of 5 GU or less at 60 degrees.
