COMPOSITION, COATING METHOD, AND MULTILAYER STRUCTURE
The composition of the present invention includes tungsten oxide particle, inorganic particle other than tungsten oxide particle, and a solvent. The inorganic particle is preferably made of a clay mineral. The clay mineral is preferably bentonite, saponite, or mica. The volume median diameter (D.sub.50) of the tungsten oxide particle is preferably 0.01 m or more and 10.0 m or less.

Silver and copper nanoparticle composites
A silver nanoparticle composite or a copper nanoparticle composite is formed in which the silver nanoparticle composite has silver nanoparticles, and both (a) one or more polymers and ascorbic acid adsorbed on the silver nanoparticles, wherein the (a) one or more polymers are selected from one or more of cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate phthalate, cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose acetate propionate, cellulose acetate trimellitate, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose phthalate, methyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, and carboxymethyl cellulose. Copper nanoparticle composite are similarly formed in which both the (a) one or more polymers and ascorbic acid are adsorbed on the copper nanoparticles.

[Object] To provide a zinc-based plated steel sheet excellent in coating film adhesiveness after hot pressing more conveniently. [Solution] A zinc-based plated steel sheet according to the present invention comprises: a zinc-based plated steel sheet that is a base metal; and a surface treatment layer formed on at least one surface of the zinc-based plated steel sheet, in which the surface treatment layer contains one or more oxides selected from titanium oxide, nickel oxide, and tin(IV) oxide each having a particle size of more than or equal to 2 nm and less than or equal to 500 nm, in a range of more than or equal to 0.2 g/m.sup.2 and less than or equal to 2 g/m.sup.2 per one surface.
Polymeric composition with anti-icing and self-cleaning properties
Polymeric compositions useful in preventing the frost or ice deposition in the surface of wind turbine generator blades present in a cold climates or high altitude are provided. In addition to the anti-icing capacity, the polymeric composition prevents the deposition of dirt, i.e. it has self-cleaning properties.

The present invention relates to aqueous coating compositions for forming an anti-grain-puffing coating, aqueous primers comprising the aqueous coating composition, and articles comprising the anti-grain-puffing coating. In particular, the aqueous coating composition comprises: (a) an aqueous dispersion of polymeric particles, wherein the polymer particles comprise polymer having an anionic hydrophilic group on its molecule chain, and the aqueous dispersion of polymeric particles has a pH of less than 7.0; and (b) an aqueous dispersion of nano-silica.

A coating composition can form a cured film which has excellent transparency, hardness, abrasion resistance, adhesion, and weather resistance. The stability of the composition itself is excellent. An optical member has a cured film formed from the coating composition. The coating composition includes a component (S): organosilicon compounds and/or a silicon-containing substance which is a hydrolyzate thereof; and a component (T): modified metal oxide colloid particles having an average particle diameter of 2 to 100 nm, wherein the organosilicon compounds of the component (S) include a component (S1): an organosilicon compound which includes at least one hydrolyzable group selected from the group made of an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an aralkyloxy group and an acyloxy group and does not have a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic structure, and a component (S2): an organosilicon compound having a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group, and an optical member having a cured film formed from the coating composition.

The present disclosure provides a high refractive index acrylic formulation embedded with sub-10 nm metal oxide nanocrystals. The formulation is ideal for high refractive index, high transparency coating for a variety of optical applications including OLED lighting.

A silicon oxide-coated oxide composition for coating is disclosed in which color characteristics, particularly reflectivity are controlled, and a method of producing a composition for coating is disclosed which is used by blending the composition for coating to a paint constituting a coated body in which weather resistance is required. The silicon oxide-coated oxide composition for coating in which weather resistance is required includes silicon oxide-coated oxide particles wherein at least a part of the surface of the oxide particles is coated with silicon oxide, wherein the silicon oxide is amorphous for the purpose of controlling color characteristics of the silicon oxide-coated oxide composition for coating. The method of producing the composition for coating, wherein color characteristics of the oxide particles are controlled, includes producing the oxide particles by selecting presence or absence of amorphous silicon oxide covering at least a part of the surface of the oxide particles, and presence or absence of an acetyl group as a functional group contained in the silicon oxide-coated oxide particles.
Coating Composition
A coating composition, a method for manufacturing a substrate using the same, and an optical device are provided. The method for manufacturing the substrate provides the substrate having excellent performance, as the substrate has fixed spacers on its surface; by using a single layer in which nanoparticles and spacers are dispersed in an alignment film to reduce processes and cost. The optical device may be manufactured by such method.
