Method for forming a polyethylene alumina nanocomposite coating

A method for forming a polyethylene and alumina nanocomposite coating on a substrate is described. The method may use microparticles of UHMWPE with nanoparticles of alumina to form a powder mixture, which is then applied to a heated steel substrate to form the nanocomposite coating. The nanocomposite coating may have a Vickers hardness of 10.5-12.5 HV.

In view of the problem with the prior art, the present invention addresses the following problems: providing a method that can suppress the generation of fine silver particles in a silver nanowire dispersion better than prior methods; and inhibiting, by a convenient method, particulation of silver nanowires on the anode side. A solution is a silver nanowire dispersion that contains silver nanowires, a dispersion solvent, and a chelating agent with the average diameter of the silver nanowires being not more than 100 nm, the silver nanowire dispersion being characterized in that the chelating agent content is 0.1 to 1,000 μmol/g with reference to the silver nanowire content, and the chelating agent is a prescribed aromatic heterocyclic compound having at least one imine skeleton in the molecule.

At least a portion of the plurality of particles is embedded at a threshold depth within the deformable layer prior to solidification.

A method of producing an ultraviolet protective agent composition, which has high transparency and excellent protection ability against a light of ultraviolet region of wavelengths of 200 to 420 nm, and an ultraviolet protective agent composition obtained by the production method are provided. The method of producing an ultraviolet protective agent composition includes at least step (a) of precipitating iron oxide microparticles by mixing with a microreactor an iron oxide raw material fluid containing at least Fe.sup.3+ ion, and an iron oxide precipitation fluid containing at least a basic substance; and step (b) of dispersing the above precipitated iron oxide microparticles in a dispersion medium to obtain iron oxide microparticle dispersion, wherein a haze value of the iron oxide microparticle dispersion is 2.0% or less, and a transmittance of the iron oxide microparticle dispersion for the light of the wavelengths of 200 to 420 nm is 2.0% or less.

Coating composition

A coating composition, a method for manufacturing a substrate using the same, and an optical device are provided. The method for manufacturing the substrate provides the substrate having excellent performance, as the substrate has fixed spacers on its surface by using a single layer in which nanoparticles and spacers are dispersed in an alignment film to reduce processes and cost. The optical device may be manufactured by such method.
