Aqueous composition suitable for cleaning and protection comprising silica nanoparticles, copolymer of acrylamide and acrylic acid, nonionic and anionic surfactant
Compositions include a water-soluble polymer, silica nanoparticles, and a combination of a nonionic and anionic dispersed in an aqueous liquid phase. The polymer is a water-soluble copolymer of acrylic acid and an acrylamide, or a salt of the same. Methods of using the compositions to clean and coat a substrate are also disclosed.
AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME
An aqueous coating composition providing the resulting coatings with balanced flexibility and anti-tacky properties, and a method of preparing the aqueous coating composition.
CARBON NANOTUBE DISPERSION LIQUID, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE MOLDED BODY
A carbon nanotube dispersion liquid includes a carbon nanotube-containing composition, a cellulose derivative including a constitutional unit represented by formula (1), and an organic solvent, wherein the organic solvent contains one or more solvents selected from aprotic polar solvents or terpenes, the concentration of the carbon nanotube-containing composition contained in the carbon nanotube dispersion is 1% by mass or less, and when the dispersion liquid is subjected to a centrifugal treatment at 10,000 G for 10 minutes to recover 90% by volume of the supernatant, the concentration of the carbon nanotube dispersion liquid of the supernatant portion accounts for 80% or more of the concentration of the carbon nanotube dispersion liquid before the centrifugal treatment:

wherein R may be the same or different and each independently represent H, or a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 40 carbon atoms or an acyl group.
RED PAINT FOR CERAMIC DECORATION
The present invention provides a red paint for ceramic decoration, including a glass matrix, and a red colorant and a protective material that are intermingled in the glass matrix. The red colorant contains gold nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles. The protective material contains silica nanoparticles.
ANTI-REFLECTIVE FILM
The present invention relates to an anti-reflective film including: a hard coating layer; and a low refractive index layer including a binder resin, and hollow inorganic nanoparticles and solid inorganic nanoparticles which are dispersed in the binder resin, wherein in a graph of the measurement of the friction force with a TAC film measured by applying a load of 400 g to the surface, the maximum amplitude (A) is 0.1 or less based on the average friction force.
Pigment particle composition, its method of manufacture and its use
A pigment particle composition which comprises calcium carbonate particles and pigment particles, its method of manufacture and its use. According to the present invention, the calcium carbonate particles are carbonated so that they bind to each other, in which case calcium carbonate structures are generated, which comprise pigment particles and which form essentially opaque and stable pigment-calcium carbonate aggregates. It is possible to manufacture the composition by atomizing calcium hydroxide-bearing pigment slurry into a carbon dioxide-bearing gas, in which case the calcium hydroxide is carbonated in order to precipitate the calcium hydroxide particles to be attached to each other and the carbonation is continued until essentially all of the calcium hydroxide has been converted into calcium carbonate. The composition is suitable for use, among others, in paints, coating materials, fillers, polymers and printing inks.

A hydrophobic coating and a method for applying such a coating to a surface of a metallic substrate. The method can include anodizing a nanoporous layer of anodic metal oxide on the surface; cathodizing yttrium oxide nanoparticles onto the surface; applying a hydrophobic ceramic coating composition to the surface by an application method selected from the group consisting of: flowing, dipping, and spraying; and heating the coated surface at a cure temperature from about 150 C. to about 300 C. for at least 2 hours.
Transparent durable superhydrophobic ceramic coating
A superhydrophobic ceramic coating that is transparent and durable includes a dispersion of a multiplicity of silica nanoparticles stacked to form a topography that is rough that is infused with and conformally coated with a sol-gel glass matrix that has a fluoroalkyl silane or an alkyl silane monolayer on the surface of the coating. The silica nanoparticles do not scatter light to a large extent as they are sufficiently small and free of aggregation. The sol-gel glass is formed from a trialkoxysilane precursor and applied to the stacked silica nanoparticles to retain the rough topography of the deposited nanoparticles.
