The sliding member of the present invention is a sliding member including a base layer and a resin coating layer formed on the base layer, wherein the resin coating layer is formed of a polyamide-imide resin as a binder, barium sulfate particles, molybdenum disulfide particles, and unavoidable impurities, wherein the resin coating layer is composed of a plurality of overcoated application layers, and wherein the plurality of application layers are different from each other in content of hard particles.

Method for coating metal surfaces of substrates, and objects coated according to said method

A coating, a method for coating surfaces, and the coated surfaces. The method includes providing a substrate with a cleaned metal surface; contacting and coating the metal surface with an aqueous composition having a ph of from 0.5 to 7.0 and in the form of a dispersion and/or a suspension; optionally rinsing the organic coating; and drying and/or baking the organic coating, or optionally drying the organic coating and coating same with a similar or another coating composition thereto. The composition contains a complex fluoride in a quantity of 1.1 10.sup.−6 mol/l to 0.30 mol/l based on the cations. An anionic polyelectrolyte in a quantity of 0.01 to 5.0 wt % based on the total mass of the resulting mixture is added to an anionically stabilized dispersion made of film-forming polymers and/or a suspension made of film-forming inorganic particles.

The present invention relates to a waterborne composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of first and second multistage polymer particles, wherein each of the first and second polymer particles comprises a water-occluded core and a high T.sub.g polymeric shell wherein the second multistage polymer particles further comprise a polymeric binder layer superposing the shell. The composition of the present invention is useful for reducing the load of TiO.sub.2 in paint formulations, while producing coatings with excellent hiding and scrub resistance.

SINTERABLE METAL PASTE FOR USE IN ADDITIVE MANFACTURING

A material and method are disclosed such that the material can be used to form functional metal pieces by producing an easily sintered layered body of dried metal paste. On a microstructural level, when dried, the metal paste creates a matrix of porous metal scaffold particles with infiltrant metal particles, which are positioned interstitially in the porous scaffold's interstitial voids. For this material to realize mechanical and processing benefits, the infiltrant particles are chosen such that they pack in the porous scaffold piece in a manner which does not significantly degrade the packing of the scaffold particles and so that they can also infiltrate the porous scaffold on heating. The method of using this paste provides a technique deposition/removal process.
