HEAT RESISTANT PAPER-FEEL OVERPRINT VARNISHES
Described herein are heat resistant inks and coating compositions that, when coated on a substrate, impart the feel of paper. The inks and coating compositions do not degrade when exposed to temperatures of 120° C. or greater.
DURABLE ANTIMICROBIAL COATING AND PREPARATION THEREOF
A process for the preparation of kinetically stable semiconductor/polymer nanodispersion whereby the aqueous stability of the dispersed photocatalysts and polymer latex particles are ensured by the high surface charge. Consequently, the thin photocatalytically active antimicrobial coating prepared from this electrostatically stabilized aqueous dispersion by spray-coating method contains well-dispersed and evenly distributed surface photocatalyst particles immobilized by polymer and thus it provides homogeneous, transparent and mechanically stable photoreactive and antimicrobial thin film on arbitrary surfaces.
STRUCTURAL COLORANTS WITH SILANE GROUPS
Disclosed in certain embodiments is a liquid coating composition comprising a liquid medium and a structural colorant comprising photonic particles comprising a metal oxide, the photonic particles having silane functional groups on at least a portion of the external surface of the photonic particles.
Superhydrophobic coating, superhydrophobic foam concrete, and preparation methods thereof
A superhydrophobic coating is provided and contains organosilane, an inorganic nanomaterial, and an emulsifying agent. A mass proportion of the components is controlled, so that the superhydrophobic coating can form a micro-nano mixed microstructure inside foam concrete. The organosilane first forms dense hydrophobic surface layers on the surface and in inner pores of the foam concrete, and the nanomaterial forms uniformly distributed nano-bulges on the hydrophobic surface layers formed by the silane. The superhydrophobic performance of the foam concrete can be effectively improved by combining the two microstructures. The foam concrete exhibits excellent superhydrophobic performance.
Articles comprising durable water repellent, icephobic and/or biocidal coatings
Articles including durable and icephobic and/or biocidal polymeric coatings are disclosed. The polymeric coatings can include a bonding layer which may contain a substantially fully cured polymeric resin providing excellent adhesion to metallic or polymer substrates. The polymeric coating further includes an outer surface layer which is smooth, hydrophobic, biocidal and icephobic and, in addition to a substantially fully cured resin, contains silicone comprising additives near the exposed outer surface. The anisotropic polymeric coatings are particularly suited for strong and lightweight parts required in aerospace, automotive and sporting goods applications. A process for making the articles is disclosed as well.
CURABLE COMPOSITION, THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT PRODUCING METHOD, THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT PRODUCING APPARATUS, AND ARTIFICIAL TOOTH OBJECT
A curable composition containing a radical-polymerizable monomer and a hard solid component having a volume average particle diameter of 10 nm or greater and 1,000 nm or less is provided. The content of the hard solid component is 3% by volume or greater and 40% by volume or less. The difference (n.sub.1−n.sub.2) between the refractive index (n.sub.1) of a cured product of any other component than the hard solid component and the refractive index (n.sub.2) of the hard solid component is 0.04 or greater.
Conductive coated composite body and method for producing same
A conductive coated composite body is disclosed which has both good adhesion of a conductive coating film to a base and excellent electrical conductivity of the conductive coating film at the same time even in cases where a glass base or a base having low heat resistance is used; and a method for producing this conductive coated composite body. A conductive coated composite body includes: a base; a resin layer that is formed on at least a part of the base; and a conductive coating film that is formed on at least a part of the resin layer. The conductive coating film is a sintered body of silver fine particles; the main component of the resin layer is a polyurethane resin having an elongation at break of 600% or more; and the polyurethane resin has one of the functional groups represented by —COO—H, —COOR, —COO.sup.−NH.sup.+R.sub.2 and —COO.sup.−NH.sub.4.sup.+.

The sliding member of the present invention is a sliding member including a base layer and a resin coating layer formed on the base layer, wherein the resin coating layer is formed of a polyamide-imide resin as a binder, barium sulfate particles, molybdenum disulfide particles, and unavoidable impurities, wherein the resin coating layer is composed of a plurality of overcoated application layers, and wherein the plurality of application layers are different from each other in content of hard particles.

The reflective coating comprises 28-32 parts by weight of acrylate, 28-32 parts by weight of reactive diluent, 1-3 parts by weight of photoinitiator, 18-23 parts by weight of aluminum silver powder, 26-32 parts by weight of solvent and 1-5 parts by weight of promoter.
