The composition may further include an additive dispersed in the fluid. The fluid may be a polymer material. A method of moving the fluid to disperse the material within the fluid wherein the material migrates to a boundary layer of the fluid to promote kinetic mixing of the additives within the fluid, the kinetic mixing taking place in a non-linear viscosity zone.

The present invention concerns a one-component water-based coating composition comprising a polymeric matrix and inorganic granular particles, which are mixed with the polymeric matrix. The polymeric matrix is a water-based dispersion and comprises at least two polymeric components, and mixed therein inorganic granular particles that have an average particle size of at least 20 m, as well as a stabilizer in the form of suspended biobased fibres. The present invention further concerns a surface coated with such a coating composition as well as a method for the preparation thereof.

COATED STEEL SHEET AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME

Provided is a coated steel sheet having excellent press formability. The coated steel sheet includes a base steel sheet and, on at least one side of the base steel sheet, a film containing organic resin and wax. The organic resin is at least one selected from the group consisting of acrylic resins, epoxy resins, urethane resins, phenolic resins, vinyl acetate resins, and polyester resins. The wax is polyolefin wax having a melting point that is 100 C. or more and 145 C. or less and an average particle size that is 3.0 m or less. The proportion of the wax in the film is 5 mass % or more and 70 mass % or less. Coating weight variation is 0.300 or less. Coating weight .sub.W of the film is 0.3 g/m.sup.2 or more.

Superhydrophobic coating, method for preparing same and use thereof

A superhydrophobic coating having a three-dimensional porous nanocomposite structure, includes: a constructing unit and a bonding unit; the constructing unit comprises inorganic hydrophobic nanoparticles, the bonding unit comprises hydrophobic polymer nanomicrospheres, and the inorganic hydrophobic nanoparticles and the hydrophobic polymer nanomicrospheres are interconnected to form uniform pores. A method for preparation of the superhydrophobic coating includes: mixing the inorganic hydrophobic nanoparticles with the hydrophobic polymer nanomicrospheres in a dispersant to form a coating solution; and coating the coating solution on the surface of a substrate using a dip coating, roll coating or spray coating process, and drying to form the superhydrophobic coating of a three-dimensional porous nanocomposite structure.

The present application relates to a coating system and a coated article. The coating system has a cracked structure and comprises: (a) a first coating formed by a first coating composition, the first coating composition being a one-component aqueous coating composition and comprising an aqueous dispersion of an aliphatic polyurethane resin and optionally additives; (b) a second coating formed by a second coating composition at least partially applied to the first coating, the second coating composition being a one-component aqueous coating composition and comprising an aqueous dispersion of at least one acrylic resin, silica micropowder, a coalescent and optionally other additives; wherein the aliphatic polyurethane resin has a film forming temperature of 010 C. according to ISO 2115:1996 and a film formed from the aliphatic polyurethane resin has an elongation at break according to JG/T 172-2005 in the range of 500-750%; and wherein at least one acrylic resin has a film forming temperature of 8010 C. according to ISO 2115:1996. The present application further relates a coated article comprising the coating system.

Disclosed herein are highly solar-reflective passive radiative cooling materials in powder form based on calcium phosphates. These materials can be synthesized at a low material cost approaching that of paint additives available on the market, and they are safe, non-toxic, and environmentally-friendly. These materials achieve solar reflectance values ranging from 93% to nearly 98%, making them extremely effective passive radiative cooling materials.
