Light diffuser and luminaire
A light diffuser includes: a thermoplastic resin base which has a thermal expansion coefficient of at least 410.sup.5/K and at most 810.sup.5/K; and a light diffusion layer which is disposed on a surface of the thermoplastic resin base and includes an acrylic resin film and an acrylic resin particle, the acrylic resin film including one or more acrylic resins having a glass transition temperature of at least 30 C. and at most 50 C., the acrylic resin particle being included in the acrylic resin film and having an average particle size of at least 1 m and at most 15 m.
Composition comprising a light-weight filler
The present invention relates to compositions containing at least one reactive binder, at least one curing agent and/or accelerator, at least one thermally activatable blowing agent and at least one light-weight filler, wherein at least one expanded particle of at least one glass-rich volcanic rock with a closed outer shell is contained as a light-weight filler. The invention also relates to a method for stiffening and/or reinforcing components with thin-walled structures with a corresponding composition as well as to correspondingly produced components.
STRUCTURE FORMING A LIQUID FILM ON THE SURFACE THEREOF AND COATING SOLUTION FOR FORMING THE LIQUID FILM
A structure forming, on the surface thereof, a liquid film for improving sliding property to a fluid substance, the liquid film containing solid particles of particle size of not more than 300 m that are dispersed therein. The structure exhibits further improved sliding property to the fluid substances due to the liquid film formed on the surface thereof, and can be favorably used as packing materials such as containers and lids.
Acoustic Paint
An acoustic paint to be applied to the walls of a room in which a source of audible sound is located to improve the acoustic characteristics of the room and correspondingly improve the clarity (e.g., the warmth, richness and detail) of the sound that is generated by the source and detected by the ear of a listener located within the room. The acoustic paint includes a paint foundation into which is mixed a powdered piezoelectric material or a powdered non-piezoelectric crystalline material having a resonant frequency so that the powdered material will react to the sound generated within the room and thereby control the room acoustics depending upon the type of material and the resonant frequency thereof. An optional catalyst, such as an electrically conductive powdered graphite or powdered graphene, is mixed into the paint foundation. The mixture is stirred and then applied to the walls of the room by means of a brush, a roller, or the like.
Coated steel sheet and exterior building material
A coated steel sheet comprises: a steel sheet; a primer coating film which is arranged on the steel sheet and comprises an anti-corrosive pigment and an aggregate composed of primary particles; and a top coating film which is arranged on the primer coating film. The anti-corrosive pigment comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a bivalent tin salt, a trivalent vanadium salt, a tetravalent vanadium salt, a tetravalent molybdenum salt, an oxycarboxylic acid salt, an ascorbic acid, a phosphorous acid salt and a hypophosphorous acid salt.
NEW GRAPHITE MATERIAL
The present invention provides a novel non-exfoliated graphite powder containing highly oriented grain aggregates (HOGA) having a new morphology and surface chemistry, methods for the production of such graphite powders as well as products containing such novel graphite particles.
Coatings, Coating Compositions, and Methods of Delaying Ice Formation
A coating includes at least one coating layer containing first particles, second particles, and third particles distributed throughout a cross-linked, continuous polymer matrix. An outer surface of the coating layer includes surfaces of at least first particles extending outward from a top periphery of the polymer matrix. The outer surface exhibits a property of delaying ice formation compared to the coating layer without the first particles. A method includes applying a coating composition in one application step. The one-step coating composition contains first particles, second particles, and third particles in a base containing a polymer. A coating composition includes first particles, second particles, and third particles distributed in a matrix precursor.
Digital printing with transparent blank ink
A method, a panel and equipment to form a digital print by applying dry ink (15), preferably including particles of pigment coated wood fibers (61), on a surface (2), bonding a part of the particles with a liquid blank ink drops (57) and removing the non-bonded particles from the surface (2).
DIGITAL THERMAL BINDER AND POWDER PRINTING
A method of forming a digital print on a surface (2) by applying powder of dry ink (15) including colourants (7) on the surface, bonding a part of the dry ink (15) powder to the surface (2) by a digital heating print head (80) such that the digital print is formed by the bonded dry ink colourants (7) and removing non-bonded dry ink (15) from the surface (2).
