An acoustic paint to be applied to the walls of a room in which a source of audible sound is located to improve the acoustic characteristics of the room and correspondingly improve the clarity (e.g., the warmth, richness and detail) of the sound that is generated by the source and detected by the ear of a listener located within the room. The acoustic paint includes a paint foundation into which is mixed a powdered piezoelectric material or a powdered non-piezoelectric crystalline material having a resonant frequency so that the powdered material will react to the sound generated within the room and thereby control the room acoustics depending upon the type of material and the resonant frequency thereof. An optional catalyst, such as an electrically conductive powdered graphite or powdered graphene, is mixed into the paint foundation. The mixture is stirred and then applied to the walls of the room by means of a brush, a roller, or the like.

A coating composition for forming a lubricating layer (3) on the surface of a base material (1) formed in a predetermined shape so as to exhibit improved sliding property to fluid substances, the coating composition containing, as a dispersion medium, a liquid (5) that is a component constituting the lubricating layer (3), and the dispersion medium containing solid particles (7) dispersed therein as a component constituting the lubricating layer (3). The lubricating layer (3) formed by using the coating composition exhibits more improved sliding property to fluid substances. The coating composition, therefore, can be favorably used for forming the lubricating layer (3) on the inner surfaces of the packing materials such as containers and lids.

The printed circuit board is a metal-base printed circuit board including a metal base plate having an insulating resin layer and a copper foil layer stacked thereon in this order. In the printed circuit board, the insulating resin layer contains a first inorganic filler made of inorganic particles having particle diameters of 0.1 nm to 600 nm with an average particle diameter (D.sub.50) of 1 nm to 300 nm, and a second inorganic filler made of inorganic particles having particle diameters of 100 nm to 100 m with an average particle diameter (D.sub.50) of 500 nm to 20 m, and the first inorganic filler and the second inorganic filler are uniformly dispersed in the insulating resin layer.

The particles are a metal oxide that is surface functionalized with a fluorinated alkyl silane or an alkyl silane. The binder is a mixture of PDVF and PMMA in a ratio of 3:1 to 10:1. The plasticizer is a mixture of triethylphosphate and perfluoro(butyltetrahydrofuran) or other perfluorinated hydrocarbon. Surfaces coated using this paint display contact angles in excess of 150 and resist abrasion.
